But isn't 4 ounces really, REALLY tiny for an 8-week-old pup, even? Isn't the general recommended rule 12 weeks OR 2 pounds? |
hmmmm |

Totally did not even pay attention to the weight... I think I thought I read "lbs" and not "oz" -- woah! Good work, captnoonie! |
Must be wrong...Ahi was really tiny at 8 weeks...she was only about 14oz. And her vet said that Ahi was the smallest Yorkie she seen at that age. She said the ones she seen at 8 weeks average 2lbs.! lol If I knew then what I know now it would have been different. I do not regret getting my baby but next time will be the right way. ;) oh yeah and i'm gonna ask them to please leave his/her tail. :D |
I think this is fake...well, I at least hope so... |
Hey there! Here in Israel it is illegal to shorten the tail, all my furbabies have long tails, tell yu the truth short tails are nicer but you get used to them wagging them around like flags, just have to trim the hair so the poop doesn't stick! |
i have 2 girls. zowi, who is 10 years 8 months and pixie who is 16 months old. my 16 month old pixie was rescued from a puppy mill when she was 2 weeks old along with her mother. pixie is very tiny, barely weighing in at 4 pounds full grown. the shelter i adopted her from would not let her go to her forever home until she was 2 pounds, she was almost 5 months old before she got to be this size. i would be concerned that the breeder was trying to sell of the pups before they cost him/her more $ or before any health problems were detected. a good breeder would wait at least until they were 12 weeks so they could be health certified. i am not trying to be rude at all, just concerned for you and the pups and wanted to share this info. |

Unbelievable. I stand by what I said in your "pregnant not pregnant" thread. You are a BYB trying to get information from responsible and professional breeders on YT. Honestly, how can you continue to defend yourself over and over? |
1 Attachment(s) :aimeeyork I ONLY HAVE 1, A SWEET CHOCOLATE BOY NAME OSCAR. I WOULD HAVE LOTS MORE IF I COULD... |
I am in no way advocating what this person is doing...i have no experience in breeding..i will leave that to the professionals! 4oz seems really small to me, and since being on this forum i have learned that 8wks is too young to be taken from thier mother. both of mine even though they came from a byb were 14 wks old when i got them. btw before i get hung i didnt know she was a byb at the time. It is bc of this forum that i LEARNED..i will not make the same mistake again...my third one will come from a reputable breeder that i recently found. I just dont understand what is wrong with some people...AND she claims to be a Christian! SMH!:confused: |
Surely that is a typo????? Kyra is a tiny little girl and at 8 weeks she was bigger than both those together. That would make them under a pound full grown. |
 My Porsche, who is 5.5 lbs, had 2 puppies who each weighed between 3-4oz at birth. This is fake! |
i have four yorkies three girls 1 boy n i luv them |
I have 3 Yorkies. Rocky, 10years old, Rosie 4 1/2 years old, and Gracie 1 year & 10months old :aimeeyork The lady that has the little yorkies, Must have meant when born. (4 oz. and a 5 oz.) That is very small. But Not at 8 weeks. It's impossible. She never did put pictures up. |
I have one and will be getting another the first week of june. they really are like poato chip can't have just one |

I have two... They are sisters. There were 5 all together - 3 girls and two boys. They are so fun to watch playing and running around. |
I have only one. While I deeply love Tatiana, I would only have one yorkie because we bring her EVERYWHERE with us. We love that. I can't feasibly bring multiple yorkies with me everywhere, and I would never just bring one, and leave the other at home. |
We have one and I think we will stay at just one for a while. I want to see if we can have children first, but if not, you can bet I will be getting another! Katie Scarlett needs a sister! |
I have two Yorkies -- 3 1/2 year old Marley (9#) and 2 1/2 year old Maxie (6#). I can identify with the poster who said she just had one Yorkie bc she could take that one Yorkie everywhere... Marley is the perfect travel companion... loves everyone... will sit quietly on a chair on a patio while I have dinner... greets customers with a low key bow and lick... and then there's MAX! Wild man... but so tiny and so cute, everyone wants to pet him and point at him. I can't let them touch him bc he's a biter... I love that baby so much, but maybe I should have stopped with ONE! |
