| ![]() Never had a problem with fleas here, yet, but ticks are usually terrible. This year they were really tame compared to last though for some reason. Usually K9 Advantix is the only thing I can use during the summer because Frontline did not seem effective in keeping ticks off, however this year I applied Advantix back in June and just now in the first week of October did I apply Frontline Plus, so first time using any meds since June. I prefer to use Frontline because of the permerthin in Advantix, however I won't hesitate to use it if it's the only thing that will keep ticks away (which sometimes, it is). But for now, I'll probably just use Frontline from now until Spring.

This is off the topic but another good way to get the moles.... stick a water hose in their tunnel, turn it on. They'll come out.

| ![]() We are having a terrible time trying to get rid of Louis' fleas. We have been using Frontline and it is NOT working at all. I have tried dawn dish soap, and even that isn't working. I have NEVER had such a problem with Louis having fleas. I vaccum and wash all of his bedding, but even that isn't getting rid of them. I have heard of Capstar and Comfortis. I am going to call my vet and see what they recommend.

| ![]() At home if I find a flea on any of my dogs,my husband sprays the yard. Not sure what he uses, but he sprays the backyard and we walk them out front on leashes for two days, then he does the frontyard. If we are going out of town with furbabies for more than 2 days,I frontline. If we are going out in the trailer for a weekend then I just do a flea search each night. The frontline does seem to spread on Mina I think that it is because yorkies dont really have an under coat to catch it. |

| ![]() I have also heard that Frontline has not been working on dogs because the fleas have been building an immunity to it. We were recomended Advantix II from our Vet you can get it at the pet store and you get one more application than Frontline for the same price. It has worked great for our Pups (we had a flea problem about a month ago with Kiwi, put it on him and within the 12 hour period they were all dead! Have not seen any since!) Lola got her second application yesterday (We have officially had her for one month!) And she rolls around in the backyard all the time! She is doing great with it, doesn't have any harsh smells or anything, Love it! ![]()

| ![]() The exterminator just left my house. I tried frontline, capstar, dawn dish soap, diatomaceous earth(my vet told me to get this as it takes the oils out of the fleas and will kill them...they lived but I don't have much moisture in me),raid spray, flea bomb, moth balls in my vac., even was told to bath them in eucalyptus oil. My poor guys are bald ![]() ![]()
