Is this a jerk or what I haven't been here for a while, but had to post this to those who believe the way I do. I lost my husband in January and have just started to dating, can't take the alone bit. I meet this guy last night and everything was ok and I was going to meet up again this weekend. He called to make sure I got home and the animals came up and he told me they have no soul and can't love, I was shocked and then I told him my little guy aways sleep in bed and always would be. His reply was good luck finding someone to deal with that and hung up, my jaw about dropped to the floor. Peanut has the biggest heart and my husband loved him just as much as I, so don't tell me guys don't fell that way. Peanut was there every minute with me while I was grieving my husband, the reason I got out of bed. All I can say is LOSER. |

I don't understand his way of thinking. At least a jerk like that isn't in your life anymore. You don't need his negativity. Unfortunately for me, my dad thinks that way. He doesn't mind that Kaji sleeps with me, and babies him when the mood strikes. My dad likes to randomly remind me that Kaji has no soul, and when he passes he won't go to heaven because dogs are not welcome there. :( |

Good thing you found that out right away. What a jerk! There are good ones out there, and ones that LOVE little yorkies! I had Cricket when I met my husband. I think she was the deal-sticker for me. Cricket and my husband had love at first site. He thought he was a "lab guy" until he met her. ;) |

Definitely, a joke. I am single parent. I refuse to date a man that can't accept my kids and my pets. Yes my dog sleeps with me also. I believe that our creator cares about animals too. I believe they go to heaven. I also believe you go to the other place if you mistreat an animal. I am glad you found out about him before you become too involved. I have dated some men who love animals and I have dated some who felt like your date did. Most times the kind that feel the way your date does has a cruel streak that goes further than pets. |
I have seven Yorkies/Yorkie mixes and five of them sleep in bed with myself and my husband. Tia kicks him all night yet my husband loves them and he's a big bad NYC cop to boot. He jokes with me all the time, because when we got married he wanted to Dobermans and he wanted to call them Ajax and Achilles and he said instead you got me little girlie dogs. LOL. These girlie dogs sit on his lap at night when I'm at work. LMAO. |
Wow he really is a jerk. There are a lot of them out there both male and female. When I was 13 we lost our lab mix and she was like my best friend and my mom thinking it would be good for me sent me to church youth group the day she had to be put to sleep and the youth group paster's wife told me dogs dont go to heaven! It was terrible I of course know better now but it was devastating thinking that when I was younger. I know dogs have souls, personalities and can very much love people. Sorry about that guy saying that jerky thing to you and I am sorry for the loss of your husband. |
My husb is a big 6'3'' + 300lb guy and he LOVED Kiwi and LOVES Lola. He gets looked at all the time carrying around such a little dog, but he doesn't care. He is also from the Dominican Republic and in his culture dogs are not loved and cared for the way we do, most of his family think we are crazy for loving our pets so much and taking them everywhere, but we are slowly changing their minds, its amazing the effect these little dogs have on us humans! But I def agree I could never be with someone who didn't love my babies as much as I do. Good you found this out now and not in the future, because it would be a deal breaker for me! After having several childhood dogs and my little Kiwi and Lola I can't imagine how people could believe they do not have souls, they are all so different and their personalities vary so much, they love and feel the same as us, and anyone who has had a pet knows how smart they really are! I can't imagine there isn't a place for them on the other side:) |

Anyone who says that animals do not have a soul and are not wanted in heaven is a JERK. I'm sorry about the loss of your husband. Good thing you found out about this lout before you dated a lot. |
Good thing he's so honest, it saved you a lot of baloney:laugh: He showed his true self immediately and for that you can be grateful for sure;) I'm so sorry for the loss of your husband.
