How do yorkies ears correlate with their emotions?

It's funny that you started this thread because I've been bringing Chloe's mood to my husband's attention by making him watch her ears! LOL.....even my jack russell terrior is this way as well. I can always read their moods by watching where their ears are located. If Chloe's ears are straight back at the side, look out cause the tazmanian devil is present!! LOL

Yeah, this is where context comes in. The way a dog greets you probably looks a lot like if they are begging for food; "sir, may I have another?". On the other hand, ears go back if the dog is uncomfortable. On the other other hand, ears go back if the dog is readying for a fight (the better to keep them protected), OR if the dog is play-fighting.

My guy puts his ears down when I baby him or talk to him, he is being sweet and affectionate. He puts them to the side when we go for walks! They are huge and usually stand straight up!
