| my royal canin food for puppy's advises you to wait till 10 months because puppies really need a certain amount of nutrition that adults dont. I guess adult food is better than none when you have a picky baby. I'd consult my vet, possibly you can supplement some vitamins that it needs and still be able to feed the adult food. |

| I think I've mentioned this on another post, but when my puppy was refusing to eat her puppy kibble (Royal Canin but now switching over to Wellness), I added the teeniest amount of wet food and gravy (Science Diet chicken and rice for puppies) and she started gobbling up her food like you wouldn't believe. I add so little that a small can lasts almost a week and so little that her kibble stays crunchy, which I think is good for her teeth. Worked like a charm. |

| You don't need vitamins with commerical dog food. You could throw of the balance if you add stuff. Just pick a good quality food and that's all you need.

| Choosing dog food I do belive you can switch your puppy to adult food as long as it is a high quality pet food. There are so many out there that claim to be, especially the breed specific...hint hint. Check out this web sight. It really opened my eyes about dog food misconceptions and false advertising! Dog Food Comparison, Ratings, Reviews - In-Depth Guide to the Best Dog Food I have switched all 3 of my dogs to 1 food for the 1st time in 7 years!!! I had been buying 1 for the sensitive stomach one, 1 for the picky eater, 1 for skin allergies. Then trying to keep all 3 from eating each others food...what a circus!! Found the right food for a 3 and all 3 love it!! It has healthy ingredients. I have seen improvement in all 3 dogs! Hope this helps! |
