| ![]() You did your best for the wee little thing. All we can do now is hope and pray that he was picked up by the police. Even if they turned him into the shelter he is safer there than on the streets - if his people don't claim him the wee ones always have a better chance of finding new forever homes. I try to always look on the 'bright side' - that this pup will be fine. BTW - in the middle of your post I was impressed when you "busted a u" - you are truly a wonderful human being to do that in to continue your pursuit of a pup in need! |

| ![]() oh gosh! That's soooo scary! I don't know what I would have done! Ppl just don't care anymore. I know used to my neighbor and I would go for an evening walk on our street, but I was hit by a speeding demon one evening. He got over so far on my side and hit me in the shoulder with his side mirror. I was standing in the ditch thinking, this is it!!! Luckily I was ok, but my point is....if noone cares about a human life, do you really think they care about an animal. This world is so sad, no compassion or love! |

| ![]() Omg that's crazy! I can't believe people nowadays. To hit a person and keep on driving! I'm glad you are ok. Quote:

| ![]() I was so nervous driving to work today. I worried myself sick last night and woke up with a migraine and fever. I saw a smashed piece of white cardboard and my heart sank thinking it was the dog. Thankfully it was just cardboard. I almost cried for cardboard can you believe that. |

![]() I have an older lady on my road whose dauchshund will chase my car or run beside me almost every morning. She must let it out and leave it out for a while. I just know one morning I am going to top the hill and see it laying in the road. Then, I pass another house who have 3 or 4 small Jack Russels looking dogs that are always playing in or by the road. And I only live minutes from school!! People either think their dogs are invincible or just don't care what happens to them. ![]() | |

| ![]() I know it is horribal when we can't save every doggie. You are such a good person with a big loving heart. I can't fix it either, but I can send you a hug.

| ![]() ((hugs)) I can't even imagine how you must feel. It's so wonderful that you tried so hard to help this little pooch, but so sad that someone hit him and just kept going. I saw a deer get hit on the parkway one time and it traumatized me for days. Can you possibly call the police department's non-emergency line and ask how things turned out? I would at least try that.

| ![]() I highly doubt they did anything. They have to respond to calls, but I said the general area, if they just drove around and didn't see him, then they responded to the call. I don't think the dispatch would know anything. ![]()

| ![]() I am so sorry.. To be honest, I did not read this thread because I just know it would break my heart. I have tried to help dogs before .. the times I didn't or couldn't always make me feel so horrible.

| ![]() Today I saw a dog looking very similar to the dog loose the other day, on a leash being walked by an older man, very close to where I saw him initially. I don't think it is the same dog, but in my head I am trying to make it so, to give him a good ending. I have not seen any white fluffy roadkill anywhere in the area, so I am REALLY hoping he is ok, or got picked up. =/
