How is life with three?
Fully trained, given enough time?
Both individual attention and as a group?
Financially is adding another one (remember there may be issues) something you can handle?
If you answered yes to these and any other reasonable thought on the matter of adding an addition...then I say YES!

I have 3 and I can't answer yes to all those questions so #4 has to wait for me...but I believe and even number is better than and odd # they can pair off that way.

So the next question I have is if you are getting another one is will it be a pup an older dog rehomed a rescue perhaps?

I wanted my 'perfect puppy' so bad after my dog adoption experiences, and despite knowing I'd have to wait was planning that as #4 (all mine have one issue or another (pup mill rescue, re-homed dog with health issues, a pup whom was great but developed allergies that hinder her going places plus she's the Sig. other's dog now) anywho I decided after a sequence of events and realizations #4 won't be my 'perfect puppy' it will be a rescue Yorkie, most likely and older one dis-guarded in it's older age that needs to be pampered and loved as much as a puppy.

I think these are great thoughtful questions...and as I don't know you like some of the other members do, good questions to ask. I would add...Do your 3 want another? How will/might it change the dynamics with your current dogs. I only have 2, but I have noticed that my "first" dog although tolerant and accepting of the other dog has had to change her routine to adapt to the new dog...ie. my Yorkie loves to "warn" her pack when something is happening, and is forever running to my Schnauzer barking in her face trying to get her to "do something!" My point being, some dogs love being part of a bigger pack, some want less to do with the others...how might this change when adding another dog...

Thanks, Cindy! A friend is offering a male puppy to me just because she wants him to have a great home...I just don't know what to do!!! I'm happy with three and everything is going great...so, I just don't know what to do..
