| Excessive urination! Help! Long story short... Last weekend, Archer (6 months) started having mucusy/bloody diarrhea. We took him into the vet Tuesday and she diagnosed him with Giardia. She put him on Hills i/d canned food for 3 days, amoxicillin twice daily, metrinidazol twice daily, and forti flora (probiotic). His diarrhea has stopped and we are so thankful for that, but now he seems to be peeing LOTS more...I mean LOTS more. He is no longer telling us with a whine and a bark that he has to go outside. He just squats and pees...sometimes right in front of me! I know none of the medicines he is on are causing this and if he had something like a UTI, the amoxicillin he is already on should take care of that. He has also started waking me up again at 2am to go out...he hasn't done this for over a month. Help! |
