My mom bought a Cloud Bed from Yorkie Haven Rescue. Her yorkie loves it they are only $40.00 and free shipping. She is going to buy another one for her for the living room. What I like about YHR all the proceeds go to help the Rescue Yorkies it is wonderful. Mom says it is well constructed and Ladyjane does a fablous job in making them and getting them out to you.

I so agree.

I see nothing wrong with making stuff for your baby. But do respect the vendors that are our friends and who do so much more than just think about the money (or lack of) they may be making.

I would so much rather pay a few bucks extra knowing the person I am buying from.. Sherry, Karen, Connie, Cathy .. the list goes on and on are GOOD people and they paid their dues to be here.
I have heard of Momtohotrod (I just know I got that wrong) overnight express mailing cone for a sick pup, Karen sent boots to someone who lived in the snow.. and never got paid for them, Cathy helping people with orders and making stuff for yhr to sell and....... that is why we are so very loyal to our gang!!

And as Jodi said.. many vendors send some of their profits to the different rescues..that means so much to me.

Megansmomma - I am new to this forum and I had no idea the rules stated we could not post outside links. I won't do it anymore if that is the rules. I also did not know YT members pay to post things for sell.
I seen many others post other links to lots of places where they buy bows and clothes and stuff and so i didn't realize we weren't supposed to.
...and as for me being "able to afford" to pay $100 for a bed, I didn't say I couldn't afford to, as I very well can. I said I didn't want one bad enough to pay that much for one. ..and for your information my aunt would LOVE to help me make the bed if I need her to. Me and her have been VERY close all of my life and yes, I would help her with anything , anytime, as I have in the past and she knows all she has to do is ask me. Not that it is any of your business, but now you know.

You say that i am being rude because I posted an outside link. I've only been on the forum for a little over a week now and have seen many links posted so I'm obviously not the ONLY rude one on the forum.

I don't understand why you are so rude to me. You could have replied to my posts and told me the things you have to say in a nice way but you chose to be rude to me the very first reply you posted. Why is it okay for you to be rude to a new YT member but it's a crime if I did something that was supposedly rude to a YT vender. At least when I did it , that was not what I was intending to do. You, on the other hand were purpously rude to me.

I thought I was happy about finding this forum, I thought it would be fun to come here and talk but I see that was a mistake. It's people like you , with your attitude that takes the fun out of coming to visit on these forums. I have always tried to be nice and polite to everyone. I gave you no reason to be rude to me.

OK, since it's me that this has become about I really feel a need to say a bit here.

1st, I've no reason to be "nice" to someone who reacts like you did when I mentioned that they're time consuming so I just backed out of the thread altogether.(This was an insult that just really got to me.)
Until this morning when I thought about someone else's comment about their mom making the bed in an hour. Impossible; it takes that long to handstitch all the openings closed after you've filled them.
So, now, I come back to find that you linked an etsy vendor instead of messaging me about what I do. Nice, but ok, whatever.

Don't let this stop you from getting to know & enjoying a really wonderful site. I truly think you may've accidentally stumbled into some hard feelings but I also feel the way you worded your initial response to me was kinda rude. Just sayin...

How is that statement rude to you? All I said I would rather try to make one than pay over $100 for one. This statement had NOTHING to do with you. I had already purchased my fabric the day before I even posted this thread. :confused: Why is it so wrong for me to want to try and make my own dog bed? seriously?

well it wasn't typed with a rude attitude. I only stated I would rather spend the time trying to make one than pay over $100 for one. Which I don't even have any idea how much you charge for yours. ...as I stated in an earlier post. I just know all the one's I seen already made online were over $100. That's why I bought some fabric to try and make one myself. When I bought my fabric and when I posted this thread I didn't even know anything about you. I spent time looking at the vender's list on YT and I even ordered some items from some. But I do not remember ever seeing these beds on anyone's site/link.

...and just as a side note... I own a little retail store , which is where I am today. I don't get mad at my customers if they shop at other stores.

Well if no one is mad, then why is this conversation taking place in the first place?

It seems it all started because I was going to make a bed instead of buy one from a YT vender.
..and then I posted a link of someone who wasn't a YT vender. Which I said i was sorry for doing.

I just want to say, I fully support you offering any link that has a good value for a dog related product. I'm make the vendors list and I think it's great when people decide to support yorkietalk vendors, but I'm really upset to think someone can't link an item that's sold by someone other than a yorkietalk member.

Jodi I really appreciate you and everything you do for Yorkietalk and I hope you rethink this matter. I mean people here sell dog food, does that mean we shouldn't link other dog foods? Can we never tell anyone about good values at Target and Walmart and other online sites just because someone makes and sells a similar product? There are all sorts of products sold by Yorkietalk vendors and I link the list every chance I get, but Yorkietalk members can choose to do business with whoever they want.
