I knew someone who called their dog Deefer! On interrogation, he said it was D for (fer) Dog?!! And a couple who had 2 Great Danes, and they called them Benson and Hedges (they're 'king size' cigarettes in the UK!). Oh dear! Sally + Harry x |

He just was mt Ziggy Marley (bob marley...) and that was it! I've already decided what im naming my next Yorkie and Rottie.. hehehehe.. unfortunately they wont get to "pick" their names..lol |

I have no real idea how I came up with Finley. I had very few names picked out and didn't want a typical name that my friends may have already used. I was between Macie and Finley right up until I picked her up, but my parents Yorkie is Gracie and I didn't want them to get confused when they are together. Now, Finley is DEF a Finley or "Fin Fin" as we call her! :) |
My husband and I are Ohio State fans, so naming wasn't an issue as Brutus is the name of the Ohio State mascot. I think it is also fitting because he looks so very "brutal". Everyone just laughs when I tell them his name. |

Roxie was almost 3 when I got her, so I didn't get to name her. I do know that her dam had Roxie somewhere in her name, so the previous owner named her Roxie. I have to say, I think it's very fitting. When I think of a "Roxie", I think of confidence and attitude...and she's definitely got those! :) |

Jersey Boy- We got Jersey from a town in NJ called Toms River which is close to the Jersey shore. I always loved going to the Jersey shore on vacation as a kid. So since we live in jersey and he was born in Jersey it was the perfect name. Jersey and we added Boy because of the broadway show Jersey Boys. Brielle- I wanted a name that reminded me of the Jersey shore and Brielle is a town near the shore, so again it was just perfect. |
Great thread! Fun reading everyones stories! When I decided on getting Shelby, I had decided to name her Sidney. My hubby didn't care for the name.... so on my way to get her, I decided on Shelby.... I drove thru a little town called "Shelbyville" on the way to get her, so it kinda confirmed my decision. .... then came Seymour!.... He was named after an actor in a movie that my husband seen.... it wasn't the character in the movie, but the actors actual name...... don't know the name of the movie.... I will have to ask hubby which one it was... LOL! But it DID go well with Shelby so..... ;) ..... and on to SEEGER! When we first met the little guy, he was being called Scandel. At the time, I couldn't see such a sweet little innocent boy being called Scandel (Of course now, after getting to know his mischievious ways... we understand why he was called Scandel.. :D ). We decided to stick with the "S" theme. My husband is a musician and after considering Sebastian, it was decided that "Seeger" suited him better.... but ya can't call him "Bob"! LOL |

Harry's mum was called Cherry, and his dad was called Mojo ;) The mummy-breeder said if she went to the park and lost them in any way - she could say - "I've lost my Cherry, and now I've lost my Mojo"!!! Oh dear! :D Sally + Harry x |

My husband's dog is Ozwald. We call him Ozzy. So we decided to name our new dog Izabella and she is called Izzy. We think Ozzy & Izzy has a nice ring. Our cat is Oliver and is called Olly. |
