| Ears -- My pups ears were standing straight up when I got him (and he has pretty big ears for a little guy). Then, as expected, they have been going up and down -- often one up and the other down. I keep looking at him, and can't help it -- but zo think he's just as cute or cutier when his ears are down. And, it gives him more of a puppy look. My Yorkie is definitely only a pet and not a show dog. Also, I am sure he's going to a big little Yorkie. Are you all purists - and want those cute little ears to stand up straight - or are some of you ike me and think the ears flopped over are just as cute -- what the heck! I know you breeders and showers want the beautiful standard Yorkie look. I just wonder about some of you ordinary pet-only people like me. What do you think? Thanks - Carol Jean Carol Jean |

| Me again -- I should have added that just from looking at hundreds of Yorkie pictures, it seems that Yorkies have different-size ears. I think that the smaller ears look great standing straight up --- but sometimes, to me, the "big ears" look a little out of proportion to the little dogs. They look "all ears." Can Yorkies have ears that are "a little too big?" Remember - I'm just learning....... Carol Jean |

| You bet Yorkies, as any breed, can have "too big ears". I have seen Yorkies that i commented "Please do not let im flap those ears twice. He will end up in New York city." Don't jump on me--I have had them that way myself...dogs with big ears, I mean. I still prefer even the big ears to be erect..JMO.. |

| Check out MeganS's little Tucker. His ears are still down at 7mo (I think) and he is adorable! He's a pet not for show, though.

| Hi, when I brought Chloe home she had her ears up, then they went up and down. I , like you, liked it down too. I had just accepted it and liked them that way. But wanted truly for them to be up. So I cut around the ear. The ears came up.
