Not baiting. I do not know your exp in breeding. I was just taking from your post. I have found you very knowledgable in dog training, especially w aggression issues. I hope you don't mind, but if I ever had those issues, I would be PMing you.

Then if you agree, I would think that the absolute BEST advice you could give anyone asking for breeding information is to find a local mentor who is willing to work with them long before they even attempt to breed. Advice over the internet or in a book is a very poor substitute.

Oh yes yes they do... for the love of the breed to get better results in the show ring... Because they love the sport they call showing.

breeding isnt for fun. now that is cruel. breeding is to improve the line. not for the sake of having puppies. if that was the case i would go back to my breeder and purchase another one.
but thats not my case

This might be a dumb question, but you keep mentioning improving your line, so now I'm curious. Do you own rights to this line? It is my understanding that breeders who have established, well-known lines normall retain their breeding rights and rights to their line name. They have worked hard to maintain the integrity of their line's name and do not trust it easily to others. You might want to check with the breeder your dam came from and make sure you have "the right" to carry on his/her line's name before you breed.

I am the first to admit that I have a boat load and then some to learn.
That I am scared silly to even think of breeding my new best freind that i have waited and waited for years for.

I got two years to learn it.

I got dumped in on a litter of BRTs cold to birth. You want to see freaking scared... my job was to social skills them. Got to pick up the pieces on another litter...export by no means but I am trying.

I have spoke to my breeder of this girl my new girl... if we jointly think she should be bred then at this point she will go to her to be bred. that is still two years out.
In the mean time I reading and learning and I want to know more so I can do this right... cause if I do not it could cost lives... it not the money I am about it the life.. both my girls and her babies.

hi and yes i have permission. i am also using a stud dog from my breeder but ofcourse from the same family!

i would never want to put my dam in danger. if i was told that she wasnt right to breed becuase of x y or z then i wouldnt even think about it.
like i said its not about making money with me.

no breeding is not fun it is scary and tough and less then fun. It stress it seeing a bitch not take and loose litter and get culled and placed and loss of pups and heart ach and... so so not fun.

It a dead baby the first litter and you cry and cry and cry...

fun it is not.... puppies the out come they are fun until you have to let them go and hope they land in great homes .

then it not fun cause you have to back those pups all thier lives cradle to grave and well... no it one tough job but fun..... parts are.
