| Almost had another diva moment... I can't seem to stay away from bad breeders, or they can't seem to get away from me. Anywho, I was at my local Petsmart, who I prefer to stay away from for food because I like the smaller businesses better, but I was grabbing some more crack (i.e. canned dog food) for Gizmo. As always, Gizmo was with me and I was trying to aviod the Blue Buffalo lady coming up to me and asking me quesitons and trying to switch my foods, so in other words I wasn't being social with Gizmo like I usually am. While I was trying to find his canned food, I heard this woman behind me making comments like "Oh, his coat is very dark not light, I don't know if that'll change." So, I turned around and just kind of raised my eyebrow at her. She proceeds to tell me that she breeds Yorkies. So, me being nosey (again, shame on me. Ignorance seems to be bliss) I ask her about her breedings preferences. She said she bread standard size, 3-7 lbs. However she has homed 2.5 lbs and under pups. There's no selling contract, and when asked she said she has two Yorkies that she breeds, and one pit bull. I asked how old she let the dogs go home, and she said 8 weeks. I should have just minded my own business, but when she said 8 weeks, I couldn't help to continue. I asked her if her female was bigger than her male and she said they're about the same size and why would it matter. She then proceeded to give me her card which was his bussiness card for her salon job, then wrote on it "yorkie puppies". Her parting response was, "Come and bring Gizmo when the pups are about 4 weeks and see how if your husband changes his mind about letting you get another one. Also give me a call if you want someone to get you a hair style." I need to mind my own business, and just not be social.

| Nothing like someone commenting on your yorkie while you shop. My husband can get into situations like that. He is a very friendly guy and will talk to just about anybody. Unfortunately, it gets him talking to someone he really wonders about (like my other thread about the saleswoman just stealing a yorkie instead of buying one). You handled it with social grace.

| Wow. I believe with small breeds, the male must be smaller. I know somebody that had an incident in which there yorkie had to have an emergency c-section and both puppies died. So size matters. I want to give her a stern talkin' to. |
