| this may be better in the general threads not in videos. but to answer your question it just takes time for them to become used to you not being home. as long as you aren't gone too many hours she will be fine. |

YT Addict | Try getting her a toy to keep her occupied while you are away like a Kong stuffed with treats or something she has to work at to get a treat out. Dolce loves her Kong with the peanut butter stuffn and she can sit there for at least an hour with that and her nylabone keeps her occupied for a cpl hours as well. Just find something that she loves to keep her mind occupied and she will be fine.

| Tululah Thanks for your advice. We have put her fav. Teddy plus my nightwear ( for the smell). We don't have those bones in the UK, but we do leave her treats, she just wants our company. Will just have to persist, we even have to get a sitter when we go out. CRAZY or what. It's like having a baby all over again, but we love her to death, maybe that's the trouble lol |

| One thing you can try is to put her in her crate or playpen when you are home in another room. Start off for short periods, five minutes, then let her see you. Go again for five and then go get her out. You need to get her to associate your leaving with your coming back. The trick is not to go run in there the second she starts to fuss, if you have to let her fuss for a bit but walk by the door, make noise, let her know you are there.

| i know what you mean. today is the first time i have been away from ziggy for more than 15min (he's 18 weeks, i've had him since he was 8 weeks) Anyway, i was lucky that my brother was home to look after him. i called every 2 hrs for an update. My bro says Ziggy searched for me for a good 1 hr, went to sleep, looked when he woke up for just 10 minutes then relaxed. I guess it helped that he was with family but i was still nervous. I think they figure it out after a while that your gone and they settle down.. And the welcome home kisses are sweeter than ever (he kissed me non stop for about an hr) Now he knows i'm back and is fine with playing with my brother and checking up on me every 10min, lol..

| It's a little bit expensive, but we bought a little security camera that runs off the internet and streams to my iPhone. We have it trained on Gracie's playpen when we're gone. What we found out is that, just like a skin baby being left at daycare, she put up a huge fuss when we left and for about 2 minutes longer, after which time she settled down and snoozed until we got home! They've just got our number, that's all |

| We have the same problem. It really is my DH's issue. He hates leaving Dinky alone. I keep saying it is better for him to be able to stay home alone because sometimes he needs to. DH almost always wins this one because I cave! |
