Hey guys! Dolce's bday is coming up soon (ok, its like a month and a half away. Im just excited lol

). I was wondering if you guys had any ideas for throwing her a great bday party?? I was thinking of doing something at our local dog park for her and her friends! What kind of stuff did you do for your babies' first birthdays?? I'm so excited I want to plan something outrageous hahaha! My fiance says I'm crazy

.....but he wants to help plan it hahaha go figure

Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks guys!

how exciting!!!! For Lola's first bday I threw a party for her with all her friends, i ordered a birthday cake and cupcakes for the guests. I also had some goody bags with natural cookies and treats for the dogs. I decorated the place with pink and purple ballons!!! n sang happy birthday to her!! she loved it!!!!!!!!
needless to say.... the puppy's moms n my hubby thought i was crazy!!

@Baileysowner I have not really thought of a theme yet...but now you have me thinking lol....Im leaning towards Disney Princess themed party lol or Harry Potter hee hee.
@Josselleandlola That is so cute! Did you make the natural dog treats yourself? Im probably gonna try to find a really good recipe for peanut butter flavored ones since that is he FAVE flavor. I found these ice cream things too for dogs called Sweet Spots and they have a PB and honey flavor that she loves....

Male- Harry Potter
Female- Princess

I personally like Harry Potter because it can go with both genders at the party.

To the OP, arg, i wish we lived close by.. this must be so exciting for you.. I know i cant wait to plan this.. I agree, decide on a theme first, it will make it easier. Oh and I would make it a rule that guests have to bring Dolce a gift..lol

If I had the money (we are having financial problems and bad economy in Wisconsin), I'd send a cute puppy shirt, maybe even a costume for Dolce.

@Baileysowner I think Im gonna agree with you on the Harry Potter. It will be better for both genders attending the party

Plus, I personally LOVE Harry Potter as well, so it will be extra fun for mommy to plan it

@MamaZiggy It IS very exciting! Her birthday is October 16th, falls on a Sunday so its perfect! I wish I could afford to have a pre-party and then the real party, cuz I just can't wait! LOL And yes gifts would be nice! Dolce would really enjoy that! lol

LOL Dolce is a girl so she could dress up as Hermione or Luna

Although when we finally do get a little boy in the future, I will have another Harry Potter themed party and he can be Harry lol!

Oh yeah! I forgot! I saw ur pics! Mindy, I would LOVE for you and Furgie to come to the party! Her bday is October 16th, its a Sunday. PS @Mindy we are moving next Friday more to the west side of town

but we are moving from our apartment into a duplex temporarily (it has a backyard! Time to buy a kiddie pool for Dolce before the weather starts to change!) And if you ever need a sitter for Furgie just let me know

Our new landlord loves dogs and is not as strict about pet policies as our current apartments (bleh) so Dolce can have friends over
