| Wolverines have come for a visit! I have lived in our town all of my life and this is the first time we've had a problem with wolverines. According to the humane society there have been 85 cats missing or killed since June. No dogs yet! Turns out it was a family of four - two adults and two babies. I wasn't sure if I believed the rumours until a 20 pound, 3 foot long male was caught in a bear trap. A couple people saw their cats being taken away. Our 16 year old bengal is an inside cat only but I sure feel bad for those who have cats missing. |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Scary. Wolverines are nasty creatures. I've heard that they aren't afraid of very many things, people included.

| After I heard about them being around town I checked a few youtube videos and they can take down wolves & bears! I never knew they would hang out in town. It's funny, we have 8000 people in our town and this made the news across Canada. It's either very rare or a slow news day LOL! |

We have coyotes that will get cats here. I just can't have one outside at all. I also keep a close eye on my girls at all times. It is so scary. Have you seen one of them?

| It just made the news last night that the count for these poor missing cats is 95. This sounds awfully high to me and wouldn't you think people would work harder at keeping their cats inside?? Thanks for the picture and info on wolverines. When I walk home at night, I always keep an eye out for bears and now I have to watch out for these feisty creatures! Two years ago we had a huge amount of black bears looking for garbage and fruit trees. People are getting smarter and keeping garbage in until pick up day and picking up fallen fruit so there have been far less seen. |

| We do have coyotes around but as far as I know they rarely come into town unless they are sick. We've even had wolves and grizzly come into town but that's much more rare. The coyotes have been a big problem in larger cities like Vancouver. |

| Quote: sorry I couldn't resist. I've never seen a wolverine before. They look like half bear, half warewolf. Another thing to worry about now. Are they only in Canada?

| I think wolverines are in parts of Canada, US, Russia and a few more countries. It might be just the eyes, but there is something that does remind me of Hugh Jackman!! Wolverines are usually pretty shy around people so that's why it's so weird that they're hanging around town. Our little town does seem to attract a lot of strange things! |

| Thanks! Darwin & Mabel are always on the leash and Sidney (our cat) is always kept inside. The street the wolverines have been hanging out on mostly is only a four minute drive away so we are really careful. |
