| Is this normal yorkie behavior? or nutty? My Yorkie Suzi is a little over three years old now and she just started doing this. When I get home after being out a while , and sitting down on the couch, Suzi will jump all over me and then She rubs the side of her face all over my face? She does this multiple times. So I am wondering if she is placing her scent on me , or if this is dominate behavior? She does the same thing after drinking water , but goes along side the couch. It looks like she is trying to dey off.

| One of our yorkies does the same thing! I don't know if she has an itch or what, but she rubs her side as she walks along the kitchen cabinets back n forth. She doesn't do it to my face, but she acts like a cat rubbing along the kitchen cabinets! Anyone have any ideas??

| My female Tessie does this on the couch after she had a bath, and Hobbes will jump in my lap and get right in my face and smell me. I took Calvin to the vet on Saturday when I got home I thought Hobbes was going to devour me. He was all over me smelling my shirt. I finally took it of and gave it to him. I think they just want to make sure we haven't been cheating on them

| Kayla will run and rub the sides of her face when she pottys. Could never figure that one out. Now Dudley copies her and does the same thing. After the face rubbing they kick their back feet. |

| Pixie does that. Places her paws on either side of my mouth before kissing me, and also she will nibble just the slightest bit of pressure on my bottom lip with her incisors. She also does the cat nuzzle thing, but she didn't do that until after spending two weeks with me on vacation visiting my mother... who has cats, lol. |

| Rhia does this after I get home, but rubs her face on the blankets on my bed. She does the exact same behavior after getting a bath, like when she is drying off. I have NO idea what it means or why they do it, but looks like yours isn't the only one! :P

| My Lucy does this, too! She scrapes every morning and every evening on the floor to clean her face up after her meal... And then she wipes again for good measure after Mommy does the real cleaning Here lately I've been holding Lila for ten minutes after she eats (we think she may have an enlarged esophagus, but that's another story) so Lila is always looking down at Lucy while she's 'cleaning'. A few days ago, Lucy was really going at it, and Lila was looking at her so intently, then she would look at me, like, 'Lucy's finally lost it, Mom'. Hehe, so when I put the cheeky little begger down, the first thing she did was start scraping her face on the floor! And Lucy went CRAZY! It was so funny, both of them zooming across the floor with their heads turned upside-down, lol! It lasted for a couple of minutes before Lila gave up and just started waggling her bottom around to get Lucy to play, but I really wish I had gotten a video of it, cuz the moment was priceles It is amazing how a dog so small can bring so much joy. And it's even better with two. Double then trouble, double the fun |

| Petey does the rubbing his face & body all over the side of the couch or if he's been wet Look out! everything is going to be rubbed face first! Funny he always has to be in the bathroom when we have a bath or shower and if we leave any clothes on the floor he has to fluff them up (like he's nesting) and buries himself in them (especially my hubbies underwear!) Yuk!!! |
