| Thanks For Those Who Prayed For Our Ceasar... They did X-rays on him last Sunday and the vet showed us the result ...it was really very clear that gas was filling his small intestine and something else that looks like a mass which they said could be an obstruction but it was not very defined so they cannot be so definite about it...and they explained that it is really typical of a patient having gastric problems...they did his chemistry and his Lipase and amylase were way above normals ranges....and they said it suggests pancreatitis but elevated levels of amylase and lipase could be a result too of anything that could be obstructing his intestine...so they want to do another test...Barrium Test (?)...I'm not sure if this is how you spell it...they would give him a fluid that would go down his intestine and this would somehow help them identify the problem clearly...they did this procedure today... they said it would take awhile...so we went home and wait for their call...they called and said that the fluid that they were giving him is not going through the small intestine and that is a sign of an obstruction...they need to do surgery...they did the procedure...we waited...after the surgery...the vet said there was no obstruction...but his small intestine was inflammed that no solid or liquid would pass through it...they checked his liver, pancreas, kidney...everything are healthy...so now they are giving him anti-imflammatory medicine and they need to keep him still...for monitoring...his body temperature is low...my GOD...this is so much to bear...I pray to God that he would be OK...they would further do more test...at least for now...dehydration is being taken care of...although he is so weak...We don't know what to do anymore...I appreciate all the prayers that everybody offered for him. THANK YOU VERY MUCH...and we still need them. Last edited by CLEO & CEASAR; 11-21-2005 at 08:25 PM. |

| I am so sorry to read about your little guy, Ceasar. I am so late seeing it and I apologize for not replying sooner. The prayers from these members are awesome. I know cause I have a wee Biewer who was very sick and I know the prayers from here were heard..So many of our tiny babies go thru things that a larger dog could never weather the storm! I pray that he is well on his road to recovery and the next news we hear will be good news.. |

| Poor little Ceasar, he has been through a lot and his family too... I know you have to be beside yourself worring. Right now he is were he can be taken care of. I know when Itzi had her eye surgery, I asked them where my cot was as I wasn't going to leave her, so trust me I know it is hard. I will keep you all in my prayers.
