| Hope all continues going well. One other thing people should do if traveling with pets and staying in hotel rooms; thoroughly check the room, under the beds, the carpet. Maids don't always clean under beds or in closets.....those little plastic tabs off of new items are dropped, needles, pins, pills, old food etc. One hotel carelessly left rat poison.....if it hadn't have been for quick thinking neighbor (dog show weekend) a yorkie would have died.

| YT Addict | Wow, I just know your baby will be fine, this is such a lesson to keep in your mind always, my husband has a bad habit of dropping his pills on the floor, even though he keeps his meds in a spare bedroom where he watched television sometimes, I keep a check on that room and all the others at all times. As a matter of fact this very thing happened here in my home today, my yorkie Gizmo is rarely out of my site even inside the house, but we also have a 10 week old german shepherd puppy that is indoors most of the day and is confined to that spare room. Low and behold I was about to let him out on our deck porch and as we got to the door Gizmo decided to chase little Bruno out the door and it startled the puppy who actually had a Hydrocodone pill in his mouth and he dropped it on the floor. When I picked the pill up it was still dry, so he must have just found it so I know he did not digest any of it. Needless to say that was a very close call and I traveled up one side of my husbands back and down the front chewing him out about his pills. He felt so bad about what could have happened. So please be carefull, Gizmo is always in a carrier when visiting and prefers to stay inside the carrier away from home. ![]()

| Please forgive if I am posting improperly but we have a problem. Hi, all. Suki and I are visiting YT after a year. Loved reading some of the chat of late and seeing your adorable babies. Suki is nine now and still weighs 2.4. She has stopped eating again and we are away from home. The only thing she has found acceptable these past 9 mos. Is cottage cheese and these past 3 days she won't bother with it either. She will eat carrot slices and jerky. Recently saw an ad for Dr. (somebody)'s mix that even very picky eaters will love, money back guarantee. She is drinking a little, thank goodness. Oh, and I am giving her NutriCaL every 2 hours. Any life-saving ideas out there? Thanks.

| Thanks everyone- Armani is totally fine this morning- last night I kept waking him up to make sure he was okay- and he seemed a tad bit annoyed with me- how was I supposed to know if he was lethargic if he was sleeping- haha! I did let him sleep late this morning to make up for it. Obviously, he did not pick anything up- I am very glad that he is pretty well trained in that area- but you can never be too sure unless you are right there. The thing that makes me mad is that my parents have two small dogs and a cat of their own, so its not like they have no one to be concerned about- I could understand more if they didn't have pets of their own and didn't understand the risks. In the end it comes down to the fact that they are my pets and my responsibility and I have to be more careful when we are outside my house- I can't rely on other people to be careful.

| It is a relief to hear that he really is fine. It is scarey that your parents have pets of their own and they could access these drugs just like your's did. I am so careful with medications and always look around to see if somehow a pill slipped out unheard and unseen but know that you still can miss one sometimes. I also teach Tibbe to "leave it" when I show him a pill on the floor or on furniture and I use different pills to teach him. He gets big praise and a kibble treat every time he backs away. He is funny, he goes way to the center of the room now when I tell him "leave it". I like that. He's learning those different pill things are to be avoided. I just hope it is a lesson he will take to heart in the event he does find one somewhere sometime when I am not around. But I sure am grateful Armani is fine and thankful for the post as a cautious reminder. Thank goodness he knew enough not to partake!

| So glad to hear that Armani is okay!!! This is a good reminder for us all and I went to retrieve the closest poison control center number to keep on my fridge too - so thank you. Not having any skin children of my own, this is not something I had previously considered.

| So glad to hear everything is OK! I just gave Hubby a stern talk about this. Good reminder for everyone. I will be sure to take the playpen when we go visiting.
