| Do your babies bury their bones? So funny. We've had our new baby, Gracie, less than 48 hours. You know I'm watching her intake and output, so to speak, to make sure she's doing fine (she is), and trying to get to know her. She likes some toys and turns her nose up at others - not a surprise. But when I gave her a little nylabone she IMMEDIATELY went to 'bury' it. Now, she's confined to my home office where I am all day. Haven't gotten a playpen (delayed shipment - grrr) so have a shower curtain liner on the rug, with pee pads where needed. No dirt here! She runs around from corner to corner then stuffs it under a chair. I gave her a 2nd one, same thing, and same with the 3rd. Didn't even take a second to see if she liked them or anything. If I pull them out from their hiding spot, she does the same thing. Cracks me up! Maybe you've all seen this behavior but this is my first puppy in a very long time and I've never had a yorkie. So much fun! |

| Certain bones that Callie gets she will run around the house trying to find a place to hide it and cry when shes having a hard time finding a place and if she thinks you saw her hide it she will run back and grab it and try to find somewhere else to hide it. Its fun to just watch them sometimes

| LOL, yes...Zhoie does the exact same. It is so darn cute, DH & I just watch her and get a good laugh. She will carry a bone all over the house and end up coming back to her bed in the dining room, tucks it in the corner and then pushes her nose towards it from all directions. Cracks us up. Oh..and if we touch it, she starts all over again.

| My Ahi does it with her pizzle sometimes. No dirt here but she has a cardboard box with a furry blanket in it that is her little "play house" she will dig, dig, dig the blanket and cover the pizzle up in it. lol Sometimes it's so cute when they really act like dogs.

| Yes. My Cooper does this. He burries his treats on occassion, particularly the dog cookies that my dogs luv. He's tried to burry them down in the cracks and gaps of the couch cushins, he's put them in corners behind things, in his dog bed. If he tries to burry them in an area where theres a dog blanket in his bed or a throw thats on the couch , he will dig in the blankests, then he drops it and he will take his nose and manipulate the blanket until he covers it up, he'll dig in the blankets just like dirt. ) |

| When we would accept 'milk bone' treats from the bank, pet store, Sonic Princess never ate them but would bury them in the couch in between the cushions that can't be removed, in blankets & she'd occasionally sneak into my dd's room-there are endless burying options in there. Since she's on an Rx diet I don't let her have them anymore, knowing my luck she'd all of a sudden love them. So now she buries her tennis balls.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey does the same thing, he can work for hours burying his bully sticks, he finally finishes, and then he starts the process all over in a different location. So cute, except for when I'm trying to sleep!

| Ivan and Iris do this too. Almost every night, Ivan will 'dig' in the blankets on the bed and then drop his favorite toy before he'll settle down for a nap. It doesn't seem to matter to him that it's not actually hidden 'cause he keeps one eye on it anyway. Iris will go all over the house to look for a hiding place for a very special treat and will push her nose into it from all directions. She will whine if she can't fine one she's satisfied with. She doesn't do this much anymore but did it a lot as a baby. It's so cute when they do this. They also like to hide toys under the blankets and then dig them out. Sometimes it's Mommy's hands or feet that they try to dig out or, if I try to cover my face with the blankets 'cause it's too early in the morning, they will dig to wake me up. We play hid and seek this way a lot too. |

| Scooter is so funny when he's on a burying mission. He digs and digs like a fury in the bark (never dirt) and when he's done all that's covered is about a few inches of whatever he's burying. He's not very good at it but he certainly does give it his all.

| Certain things I give Gracie she buries. I have gotten her certain chew toys that she did not like the smell of and she runs off and buries it under a blanket or pillow or she may try a throw rug, or the couch pillows. Sometimes I just don't know where she ended up putting the thing and a couple of weeks later she will show up with it in her mouth looking for a new hiding place. Usually it is when I get her those "healthy" treat chews or a cheaper brand of animal based chew. I finally decided to only get her bully sticks because she loves those and never buries them. |

| Gotta love the "invisible dirt".. a couple of my guys do this..they bury the treat, but with invisible dirt. Course, they aren't real surprised when they go back to get the treat, and it is gone!

| My little Jasper does the same things. He cries until he finds a good spot to bury his new bone....so funny. He also buries things in his doggy bed and flips it over and digs for it. We get a good laugh with him for sure. We have never had a Yorkie and he is a trip for sure. They are so smart too.......but at least we are finally getting him to eat his doggy food and not human food. That has definitely been a challenge. |

| I finally had to take back the chew bones that I gave to Marley. He can't relax a second after he's hidden them... Can't come for a treat... doesn't want to go out to pee... doesn't want to sit in my lap... nothing -- he can only worry about his 'worry bone'. It's debilitating... it was funny at first, but he just can't let it go... spends all of his time moving his 'worry bone'. |
