| Chewy failed her test, but shhh, don' tell her.....lol Yes, Chewy failed her therapy dog test! She passed 7 out of 14 things. The main reason she didn't pass, was because she wouldn't sit on command, even tho she does it all the time for me....it was a little funny......everybody loved her, people and dogs alike, but she was just into everything, and wanted to do as she pleased, sniffing everything and saying hi to all! All of the other dogs had been to obedience school, and some people even brought their trainers with them! So, we were totally too casual about the whole thing. It only cost $10 to try out, so I could do it agsin at a later date, but I don't think I will go thru it again. I can still take her into nursing homes and to the old folks' homes that I take care of. The only place I wouldn't be able to take her to are hospitals. So, I doubt if I will pursue it. But ya' never know what lies ahead in the future, especially if you're me...lol We had fun, tho. It was worth the experience! Good luck to any of you who are thinking of trying it. I would just make sure you take them to some obedience classes first. There were two other yorkies there, BTW, and they were well trained. They are some of the ones that had a trainer with them! |

| I'm sorry she didn't pass. Sometimes it is harder than it seems especially when your dog is not coorporating. But glad you have fun. |
