| ![]() I saw this other post of yours today. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...er-0f-5-a.html I'm not sure if you are looking for another yorkie to breed to (artificially inseminate?)? I think a rescue is going to have a spay/neuter contract or want them to be spayed/neutered before they leave the rescue.

| ![]() Sorry, I'm not sure where you've read this but rescues don't give dogs for free.

| ![]() Are you serious??>>? A rescue isnt going to give you an intact dog. Also most rescue dogs arent a good representative of the breed to breed anyway. Finally rescue dogs arent free there is always an adoption fee

Yorkie Yakker | ![]() I think she means that she cannot get a new puppy from her dogs because they are too old to breed. I do not think she is trying to get a puppy to raise and then breed. But then again I may have misunderstood her posts. From the previous post I think she decided she wanted a new puppy, so she thought she would let her dog have a litter. That ended in disaster, so she is now looking for a different way to get a puppy. |

| ![]() thanks for your replies and I understand your concerns. I spent enough to maybe buy 2 puppies because I paid for a stud and he didn't do anything (they didn't) that is when i decided to go to the breeder I knew and of course paid again and had her artificially inseminated, the the vets bills when the others died and mom had a high fever, and etc etc etc. I have had dogs all my life, love them more than people and have enough to pay for vets bills. Hope everyone was as dedicated as I am to my babies. I just wanted to continue the family, but I guess I waited too long. |

I did not mean she was in a postion to get a puupy. I just meant I do not think she wants one to breed. I was not getting involved in the dsicussion of should she or should she not. That seems pretty obvious. | |

| ![]() I volunteer for a rescue group. The animals ALWAYS have an adoption fee and usually the younger the dog, the higher the adoption fee is. Also depends on how much they have spent on vet care for said dog. Also the dog would come to you spayed or neutered if you got from rescue, no rescue I know of or have ver heard of will let an intact dog go to their new home, unless in some cases if a contract was signed that the spay/neuter would be done, but that is rare from what I understand. Also with a rescue dog, you never really know what you are going to get in terms of health, so even if you were allowed to breed it (which I will reiterate, would NEVER happen with a rescue) would you really want to take that chance, not knowing the medical history or the medical problems that could be in the line. Most rescues come from puppy mills and lord knows they don't care what they breed or what medical issues may be in the lines, all they care about is the almighty buck. If you are looking for strictly a pet, then I would suggest you go to a rescue, there are many yorkies needing caring, loving forever homes. You could get lucky and pay a small adoption fee and have one that is very healthy and you would be providing a yorkie that needs a loving home just that. Just because they are rescue dogs does not decrease their value or the fact that they too deserve a loving home

Rescue dog's aren't free.Good grief I sure hope you wouldn't breed a rescue dog. First off Rescue groups spay /neuter their dog's before placing them. I just find this whole thing very upsetting with what you are wanting to do.
