| Two different Textures????? I dont know if it because Zoey is a "morkie", but she seems to have two different hair textures! The hair on her head is so soft and silky, but the rest of her hair seems to be of a cottony coat. A tad bit drier and not as silky. Now the hair on her head has changed to a nice lighter color, but her body hair has not although at her roots I can clearly see her lighter colored hair breaking through. Will it be as silky as the hair on her face and head or will it just be lighter with the same cottony feel coat? Anyone know? |

| Fido has this kinda coat, he's 3 years old The silky hair on his head does not mat a bit except if I dont groom him for like a week or so then he gets little matts, while his body hair matts much more and I brush the cotton hair on his body every day his face also every day to keep it more ''perfect''. How old is she??

| Sounds like a cotton coat. There are lot's of us with cotton coated Yorkies here on YT. My Ivan has a coat like you described. The cotton may not be as silky and smooth, but it is soooo soft. Ivan is 2 1/2 and his coat has stayed very dark except on his head and face. |

| I have a friend who has a morkie with a coat like that. She has to clip her body very short because its soft and mats easily, but her head has silky hair and she can leave it longer. Her little girl will be a year old in November, so I'm not sure if her coat will stay this way or will change as she gets her adult coat.

| Molly has the same kind of coat. I keep her body clipped short, but laeve her legs and head longer. The top of her head is very soft and silky, but on her body the fur is not as soft and matts very easily.

| Thanks guys for responding! She just turned 4 months a couple of days ago. I absolutely love the hair on her face and head, but her body hair, WOW.... It always looked clumped together if I dont brush it. I may very just have her groomed similar to what you guys have done. I was just waiting until her hair grows in a little bit more. I wish she had that silky hair!!! |

| Oh, honey, at 4 months she's just a baby! Her coat is going to change loads more before it's over with! She may very well have a silky coat... It's just way too soon to tell |
