| Pleas help! Yorkie getting really skinny!!! I've noticed my boy yorkie Kobe is getting really skinny. I can feel his spine bones. He hasn't been eating alot. I don't know if it's his food, but it's his regular food we always feed him. Can somebody please help me on this? What kind of food will fatten him up a little bit? I've heard canned foods will do, but I don't really want him to get used to those. Thanks! |

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | I would take him to the vet could be so many things, teeth diabetes to name a few. I would make sure that is all ruled out and he is healthy before I would change foods

| My Sassy is like that. I can feel her spine, but she has long legs and a long body. She eats all the time. Maybe he is tired of his food and needs a change. But take him and ask the vet. Sassy is so hyper so she doesn't gain weight. She is 10 months old now.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | I agree with others; vet check including a stool sample is in order here. Don't change the food until you see your vet.

| how old is he?? it could be parvo... i sincerely hope not but as my puppy was recently diagnosed with Parvo I have been looking at a lot of literature on it. Lets just hope he doesnt like the food or even an allergy would be better as those are easily fixed. |

| I agree with all the above posters. Please take your baby to see a vet. Better safe than sorry, and for your peace of mind. Hope all goes well.

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | My yorkie Lewie, before you could feel his spine, he was just not a big eater, but one month I could tell his spine was a little more prominent than usual, the vet set his weight was normal, but I went ahead and tried to get him fatter. I was recommended to used Orijen puppy food. He is doing really good now and much healthier and stockier. He's about a year 3/4ths

| I read on a breeders sight that they can become hypoglycemic fast, without food. Right after I got my sweetie she seems too thin to me. The breeder said if they don't eat, you can feed them cottage cheese, so I tried it. She loved it and gobbled it down. But I agree with everyone else that you should take her to the vet. These little ones are just like babies. |

| oh and one other thing, heat it in microwave a sec to take the chill off. Not hot just to take some of the cold away. |
