| I took the pledge. This is a dog-lovin town and I have not yet seen any stores that sell puppies. Thank goodness. I probably just offended some of my friends on FB. Both of her dogs came from a pet store. And she is a smart and educated woman. I know she knows where those dogs come from.

| I took the pledge also. I don't believe there's a store here that sells pups, or anything except birds, fish & reptiles, unless they're having an adopt-a-thon.

| well don't just jump on any band wagon...find out if it's a store that sells puppy mill dogs - then don't shop there.

You may come out with a very healthy pup, bird, rabbit or fish, but are the parents hidden away and living in horrendous conditions,as with puppy farm pups?

| I am going to take the pledge. Thankfully, there are no stores here anymore that sell puppies. We had a PetLand, but it went out of business Even when they were here I only went there to hold the puppies because I felt guilty that they were locked in cages.

| I've taken the pledge and also posted the link onto www.puppylovecampaigns.org which is a group of people here in the Uk who are dedicated to exposing and trying to end puppy farms. They are very passionate about the work they do, and protests are held regularly outside stores selling puppy farm puppies.

| Done, and done ! I took the pledge and shared this on facebook so my friends could do the same ! I once went into a petstore in Baltimore who sold puppies, oh my god my heart broke when I saw those little pups, maybe 6-8 weeks old, with no food, water in little bottles made for rabbits, with nothing to lie on except a little peace of a blanket whitch wasnt big enough ! They had eye infections and were not in good condition some of them, poor guys !! Thank god that selling dogs and cats is banned here in Iceland where I live, only pets that are legal to sell in petstores here are hamsters, gerbils, mice, rabbits, guinea pigs, degus, parrots, fishes, frogs and newts as I can remember, no cats dogs or other bigger animals.

| Okay just pledged both my bf and I!! I added it to my fb and added a petstore onto the list! It makes me so sad seeing those puppies in there!! UGH!!! I'd like to see the owners behind glass cage all day and night just so someone can make a profit of them.

Apparently many people think that. check out this notice posted on the petian site (they are a "grooming salon" that SELLS puppies! ) "Dear Customers We would like to inform you that several new policies have been made. The reason for us to make these new policies and enforce it was due to the fact that many people have a misconception that our store is like a petting zoo. If you are interested in the puppy and true buyer, you would definitely make an appointment to see it again next time right? · In order to touch the puppies, you must make an appointment ahead of time. · You may not touch more than 3 different puppies at once. · You can not touch the puppies more than 2 times in total, this means per family, two appointments are allowed. · Hands will be sanitized before and after handling the puppy Puppies will not be sold to families with children under the ages of 5 due to health risk for the puppy and children." The underlined I'm surprised they actually post this. I wonder if they actually follow their own guidelines. I'm sure anyone with money who comes in they'll sell a dog to. I read a review on yelp that a girl who lives at home, walked in and put a deposit on a puppy, then went home, told her parents who said she can't get it. Of course they said, oh you can put that deposit towards any other puppy later.

| Pass The Word, We Can Make a Difference! Took the pledge and posted to my FB page. I have NEVER shopped at a store that sells live dogs/cats. Not by choice really, I am proud to say they aren't readily available in my city. |
