| We bought Izzie a thundershirt last week and I am absolutely amazed!! She would never relax before and if people came over she would shake and hide. She even lays down with us know. We haven't had any storms yet but I am now a true believer in it for anxious dogs. It was well worth the 45 dollars and she looks adorable in the pink : ) |

| I agree about the size. Bogey is about the same size as Coop and I accidently bought a Small when I added a second shirt and it was HUGE! I still need to send it back.

This is similar to what I was going to suggest. The only thing I would add is at the very beginning I would find the absolutely most favorite treat that your baby only gets on "special" occasions... I used poached chicken. Anyway, I might even start by 3-4 times a day just walk to your car open the door and give the treat without even getting in. Day 2 maybe sit down but keep your feet outside the car; give treat and then leave. and so one... I tend to probably advance even slower than most but I am very happy with the results we have had with my little rescue girl. My most important thing for me is to make sure that she is comfortable and AS SOON AS I push her out of her comfort zone I stop. Repeating to level just outside of her comfort zone extending the time by sometimes only another 10-15 seconds. The key is many repetitions during the day but those repetitions may only take a minute or two of your time. More often for less time is key in my book! I couldn't get Maddie to breach the front door to go outside with me for a walk (in fact she wouldn't walk onto the entrance tile from the carpet if the door was open). Now, she walks nicely on a loose lead, and knows other very basic commands. Best of luck to you while you work with your baby!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My vet gave Pixie a herbal Rx medicine called Nutricalm. It has helped ease her stress during storm with the thundershirt on as well. She had only been on it a day before the next thunder storm hit. She was less stressed but still wanted to be held and was panting a lot. She has been on it almost a week and they are predicting storms tonight so I wil see what happens. I will let you know.

We had another success with it last night. I was vacuum-packing fish, and the noise of the machine bothered Eddie. He raced to the room, hid under the bed and shook. My wife lured him out and put on the thundershirt, and the shaking stopped. He was still nervous, but not as bad.
