I believe this dog is a yorkie. Yorkies today are many with long legs, Fido has very long legs but though not TOO long :) |
Yorkies here in the UK look a bit different to those I have seen on TV and on YT from the US. Over here they tend to be a little bigger, longer legs and longer bodies. Poppy is 7lbs with quite a long body, she would probably get funny looks in the US too but she is totally normal here in the UK. Also the British Bulldog from the UK has much shorter legs then they seem to have in the US. So sometimes the breed differs slightly, dosn't mean they arn't pure bred. :) |
Wow that is amazing how rude a person can be Everyone's babies are adorable yorkies! |

i get it all the time wit my big big gino, it used to annoy me , not now as u all say i cud not care;) |
I guess I have the exact opposite problem. As some of you may or may not know Gabby is a Fourche Terrier (half yorkie/half westie) and being as she is not a purebred Yorkie, she is mostly black with some blonde, silver, and red "highlights." I usually get questions/comments like, "Can I pet your YORKIE?," "That's a cute YORKIE," "How old is your YORKIE?" Gabby has some Yorkie features and is closer to the size of a Yorkie rather than the Westie, but her coloring is all off and to me looks nothing like a Yorkie's coloring. I just politely explain she isn't technically a Yorkie, but does have some in her. And sometimes I just laugh and say, "What Yorkie? She's just a Mutt." I also was asked one time if I highlighted my YORKIE'S hair. I thought this was pretty interesting since you all are being questioned about your purebred babies while I am trying to explain to everyone that mine is not a purebred. :confuse2: |
Try having a golden Yorkie boy. He really throws people for a loop. My husband takes him everywhere when he is home from the rig, but hates the attention that he draws. |
Very Clever!! |

I've had people comment, "She's kinda large for a yorkie, isn't she? Is she a breeder?" This froze me for a minute, cos I couldn't decide if I should respond that yorkies come in a range of sizes, or whether I should be pleased that they think a larger sturdy yorkie should be bred and not the itty bitty variety. |
My Lola weighs 10lbs and her ear don't go up. But I have the papers to prove she's a yorkie. It makes me mad when people say "She's kind of big for a yorkie". Last Sunday I took my dogs to a shot clinic. I filled out the paperwork for all of them. When I got home I noticed the guy inputing the info. had input her breed as a Yorkie Mix. That is not what I filled out her paper to say. It made me very mad. I felt like calling the clinic that runs it and complaining. But, I figure it's a waste of my time. |
