Dear people of awesomeness, I miss you so much!

Thank you for all of the thoughtful and loving posts/emails. Tony reads, prints and leaves a monitor full of them for me each day and it really lifts my spirits. Its heartwarming to see Tony so welcomed, and for him to get a firsthand feel for the community that YT is. He is amazed by all of the support, knowledge and passion!

He may be enjoying YT people a little too much - once i heal, i'll obviously have to change my yt password So don't be getting too attached peeps! (Dude can find his own dog community, geez!)

I'm healing slowly but surely; it looks like everything is healing as hoped for - So i'm hopeful about being a fully functioning person before labor day! I've splurged, at some of your recommendations, to do acupuncture and a few other body work things lately to help with the inactivity and it has really helped calm me as well about not being able "to do" my life right now. oy.

Please know i'm thinking of you and that i receive the best medical care 24 hrs a day - via a 3-way yorkie sandwich! :Love:

Ah, so good to hear good reports! We are definitely going to have to watch out for that husband of yours sneaking on here and having too much fun. Labor Day can't be that far away, can it? I am living for it as I think surely by that time this awful Heat Wave will be on the wane! So think Labor Day and good positive thoughts and enjoy that Yorkie sandwich.

Glad to hear you are doing better because of your 3 way Yorkie Love. Before I saw this I had sent Nancy1999 a PM about an hour ago asking if she had heard from you. We were trying to decide how we could do things if we were in this situation. Good to know you have a wonderful nurse that likes YT.

So glad you're doing well, by the way, I just read there's a new antidote for scorpion bites, so maybe next time you'll remember the bite has to be better than two broken hands.

Gilbert, AZ--In what is being called a historic event, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently approved Anascorp, an anti-venom produced in Mexico and tested in clinical trials conducted through the University of Arizona, for use in treating patients suffering the effects of scorpion sting.

Scorpion stings may soon be significantly less dangerous thanks to new anti-venom researched locally.
This approval is the culmination of a nearly 12-year collaboration of academic and clinical researchers with partners in business and industry from both sides of the border. Together with Leslie Boyer, M.D., a pediatrician and toxicologist at the University of Arizona College of Medicine, these entities joined forces to meet a critical and urgent need.

Chandler Regional and Mercy Gilbert Medical Centers, members of Catholic Healthcare West (CHW), have been part of the Anascorp research for the treatment of scorpion envenomation study since 2005 and 2006, respectively. During that time, more than 450 patients have received the anti-venom at both medical centers, making them the highest enrolling sites for the study.
