| Two... Does anyone mix two different foods, or give one food during the day and another during the night, just to give some variety for picky eaters? Any thoughts?

| We mix 2. Mostly because I bought a bag of what the breeder was feeding, then after reading here decided to go with a better brand/formula. I started mixing them so I didn't have to throw out a almost new bag of food. I am actually adding in a few pieces of some samples I got to see what they like most so in reality it's 3 brands. They are eating much better than when I first got them and it shows!

| I feed the same kibble at each meal and then will add some canned food, or fresh homemade food a few times a week for variety. I also rotate which kibble I buy every few bags.

| I feed raw in the morning, and kibble in the evening, Nature's Variety. Mine do great.

| We feed pre-made raw and we mix brands and proteins. They get one brand at breakfast and lunch and another brand at dinner. This is because they seem to loose weight on the one brand and gain on the other. So the combination helps them maintain a consistent weight. We switch proteins at each bag (about every 1 1/2 - 2 weeks) to give their bodies variety in which protein they have to process. I'm sure it's nice variety for their taste buds too, but that's not the main reason we do it. I'm not sure they take long enough to eat to actually taste anything. From what I understand, most do not recommend changing food frequently as Yorkies tend to have very sensitive tummies. My understanding is that dogs on a raw diet can tolerate variety in raw proteins better than with other types of diets. |

| I give Riley Primal Raw in the mornings and then Acana Kibble, at night. He has been thriving and his coat is unbelievably shiny. |

| Since I only feed home cooked foods to my girls, they definitely get a wide variety. I bought a new electric pressure cooker, and 8 qt. Elite, and have been buying pot roasts and cooking them with fresh carrots. They are loving life for sure.

| We always mix with samples because ours are just PICKY, PICKY, and PICKY. Sometimes, they won't eat the sample too, then we mix another one on top of it. I wish they could stop being so picky!

| Because we have puppy, adult and senior dogs around here, things get mixed on occasion. They all get a little canned,a little boiled chic and when being really picky parm cheese (my husband refers to this as puppy crack) sprinkled on top. I think my yorkie would eat paper if you put parm cheese on it. |

| Yes, i have done this before. Wellness and Evo. Now i am feeding Suzi canned food with her wellness because I think she is not eating enough of her kibble alone. I just started doing it this week and she is eating everything I put down for her.

| I feed kibble in the morning... origins and I home cook in the evening. I add some salmon from time to time -- they like that. I have some honest kitchen that I got for the traveling and vacation. I am so thinking of using honest kitchen and not home cooking. Thinking ..... just feel guilty about it for some reason.
