| Aparently I Own A Long Haired Chihuahua.. So I was at the local festival and brought along Sparky with me. Someone passed us and said to her friend, " is that a long haired chihuahua?" and the friend answers, "yeah, it looks like it."

| I am laughing. Not everyone is a dog person. I never realized how tunnel visioned I was about dogs, until I attended a horse show. My neighbors little girl was competing in jumps. I did not know one kind of horse compared to another. I didn't even know how they were judging and so on. I was out of my element to be sure. When I have my Yorkies out and about,I have been asked all kinds of weird questions. I have also overheard the most outrageous things. But, after the horse show I got an attitude adjustment, I will be much kinder when people ask or say dumb things. |

| That reminds me of someone here (can't remember who it was) who had a Yorkie that didn't get it's tail docked when it was born. She overheard someone say about her pup: "It can't be purebred, it's got a long tail."

Senior Yorkie Talker | i saw a lady at the vets with a yorkie cross breed who said my Millie (purebred) was a cross breed and hers was pure! you could tell by looking at her dog its a cross breed, the colouring was all wrong, the ears were floppy and it was twice as big as a yorkie should be! Also, we were walking around town when some one said "oh what a lovely mongrel!" i got so angry at them thinking my pure bred pedigree was a mongrel! i didnt pay as much as i did for her for people to accuse her of being a mongrel!! why dont people just learn to ask before they make judgements???

| Hi and Welcome to Chihuahua Talk! (JK) I was told my Tink is a 'Silky Yorkie', light coloring, silky coat, and they cost more the regular Yorkies. I told the lady that's just what unscrupulous breeders tell people to make more money... she was shocked!

| I agree @Teresa Ford. I wasn't upset about it, I actually almost laughed out loud. I don't mind the comments as long as I know my baby is the cutest there is!

| I think that was funny too. The things people say and do not know can be hilarious.

| At least you don't have to explain what a Biewer is to everyone! I'm pretty sure no one from my area knows what Nilla is, and I'm also pretty sure everyone who listens to my explanation of her breed thinks I'm crazy! They ask, I try to explain, and I think they fade out of what I'm saying because they really and truly just want to touch her. Lol.

| When Sophie Kate was 2 years old I got into a little debate with a lady at Lowe's who insisted I was not telling her the truth about her age and Sophie Kate was actually about 6 months old. I had to remind the lady that "I had been picking up her poop for the last 18 months". She just looked at me like I was rude (I guess I was kind of). I have learned to ignore the mean comments like "is that a cat", "I could that think for Muskie bait" (yep someone said that to me) and "let me know when she has puppies".

| Oh and another classic was the time I was at Quik Trip getting gas. I was holding Sophie Kate while pumping my gas and the guy in the passenger seat of the car parked on the other side of the pump leans his head out the window and says "your dog looks like a Monkey" (he had indulged in a few adult cocktails). I in return said "really your kid looks like a Monkey" the guy then asks me "how would you know they aren't here" I just looked him straight in the face and said "well I can only imagine with you as their Father" Good thing the guy had a sense of humor, he just laughed and laughed at me saying that and his friend pumping gas high fived me. Shortly after that is when I started ignoring people.
