One time I was volunteering at an adoption day at PetSmart and a lady was walking in with her own "Labradoodle". I guess someone must have stopped her and asked her about her dog, but all I hear is "Yes, she's a purebred Labradoodle." I thought I was going to DIE laughing!

One time I was at the park with Chip and Smokey and some little kid yelled "LOOK MOMMY! A CHIHUAHUA!"

When I have my Yorkies out and about,I have been asked all kinds of weird questions. I have also overheard the most outrageous things. But, after the horse show I got an attitude adjustment, I will be much kinder when people ask or say dumb things.

agreed! not everyone knows everything about everything!
people need to be more tolerant and kind to others with different levels of knowledge.
you wouldn't laugh at a child who didn't know the difference between a yorkie and a chihuahua would you?

Well sort of off the subject, but I was demonstrating with porcelain dolls where I was dipping the lace in porcelain an draping the porcelain doll prior to firing as a demonstration at the fairgrounds. Well some man who "knew everything" told his wife that I was demonstrating a new cementing technique!!! I nearly flipped. I said nothing, he went on. Many people thought they knew what it was and instead of asking, just told others what they were sure it all was. I guess that is the nature of human beings. Some like to ask for directions, and others like to "guess." So, when they guess at our dogs, oh well!

You have a good attitude and thats exactly how I feel about it also. People dont mean to be insulting when they ask questions that may seem dumb to us they just dont know and are trying to make conversation

I didn't think that they were dumb or anything bad. I know that not everyone knows what dog is what. I love dogs and I don't know what every dog breed is. I thought it was funny and would have told them what Sparky is if they asked me.
