| Leaving her for the first time I'm going to visit my husband in Boston for Thanksgiving. Trixie will stay with a good friend of mine and Trixie's best friend Pete (a Bichon). My friend is going to take great care of her so I'm not worried. But I'm a little sad And I don't want Trixie to think I'm dropping her off and never coming back for her... It's good practice, because I'm leaving her for two weeks in December while my husband and I visit my family in the Netherlands...

| You'll be sad leaving her but it is nice that you know she will be in good hands and that she will have a lot of fun playing with her best friend. Have a great Thanksgiving.

| We just got back from vacation We actually left our 5 month old Wosie with her vet, and she was fine! I thought she would forget me, or get sick, or backslide on potty training, and none of that happened! I have been told that dogs have no time concept. 5 minutes to them is the same as 5 hours. Your baby will be fine! Really, you will take your separation harder then the pup will. I know I did!

| I am sure she will be fine! I am sad for you for you too. I am going to L.A on Saturday for a day of shopping and eating out with my sister. Roxie is staying at home with my husband and 2 boys and still I feel bad. She always waits at the door for me when I leave. She is so attached to me. But I know she will be fine. I think I am more sadden then she is. You will be back before you know it and you both can have a wonderful reunion!
