|  First post ever :) Hi everyone! My yorkie baby is named Bo. I have had him for about 2 months now, and I couldn't imagine life without him. He was 4 months old on June 21st  He is 100 % pee pad trained, can sit, stay, lay down, and roll over. I can't believe how smart he is! It's amazing! About a week ago he started barking when people come to the door, which I am glad about that. It's just so amazing to watch them grow and learn! He is definetely spoiled by my fiance and I, and that's fine with us Everyone tell me about their yorkies please! I am wondering what my Bo will look like when he gets older. Idk if I should let him just use pee pads or start teaching him to go outside. Advice anyone?

|  Welcome to YorkieTalk! I think Yorkies are very smart. But I may be a little bias.  I tried using the puppy pads with Rosie. However, she did better with outside training so that is what we did. I think it is more preference than anything. Good luck with deciding. Can't wait to see pictures.

| Welcome to YT, I use washable pee pads, so they can't tear them up, and they are great when the weather is bad. My 2 girls prefer the pads and the boys will use pads and outdoors.

| Welcome to YT! I can't wait to see pictures of Bo (love that name). I never pee pad trained my boys. They are both trained to ring a bell when they need to potty outside. It sounds like Bo is a smart cookie and will do anything you train him to do

I have 4 yorkies. 2 are pee pad trained only, 1 only goes outside or where she's not suppose to and my male will go either place. I find the pads convenient especially in the winter here but I also go through a lot with the 3 using them and I don't think they learn to hold it as well when they are outside trained. Ideally I would like them to go outside most of the time but use pads when the weather is bad. Unfortunately, I couldn't get my 3 to do both.

|  in training your baby! Welcome to the site, Thor has only been trained to go outside. I am going to start training tomorrow for him to use a bell in order to alert us.
