| Eating grass My yorkies are eating grass lately. Is that good or bad? Kobe poopoo outside and it was stuck so I had to pull it out and I noticed there were grass still inside his "hole". So I had to pull the grass out. Just wondering if that's a good sign or bad?! Please let me know. Thanks! |

| What kind of food are you feeding your pups? Eating grass can man usually two things. One, your furbaby isn't getting enough nutrition in his or her diet, of two he or she has an upset belly and is eating the grass in attempt to make it feel better, aka vomit. Careful though, I thought my old dos was simply eating grass and she was actually eating wild grown mushrooms. Luckily, they weren't poisonous.

| When I first got Sapphire, I thought I had bought a cow! Lol! This year she doesn't eat quite so much of it... don't know why she did that at first though...It didn't seem to bother her at all.

| Every great once in a while I will see Tatum eating some grass. I used to try to make her stop but now I know that she'll just eat a tiny bit and then throw up. I've always heard that it makes their tummy feel better and that they do it for that reason.

| My boys nibble on it sometimes, but then again they are RARELY outdoors besides their yorkie yard which has playground mulch. So, I think they do it just because they dont really know what it is!

Some dog's do like to eat grass, especially fresh green grass. You could be feeding the most high quality food and at times they still eat grass. It's just the nature of the canine. It's OK if they eat it, only in moderation.

| My wheaten terrier has a very sensitive digestion and will eat tons of grass, weeds anything she can find (Vet says its for fiber)- making a mess of her poop . If I give her steamed green beans regularly she seems so much better and stays away from the grass.Green beans do have a lot of digestive enzymes and so does her TOTW food. Ziva loves the beans too but I have to limit them, she'll throw up bile the next day if she has had to many. |
