I've had two male dogs - both neutered - and have never had any problems marking inside the house. Ringo does mark a lot on our walks; but that is to be expected. Opposite sex dogs can make great companions. And if you love the breeder . . . . Not that I'm trying to push you; it's hard because you've just had a loss. And if she will let you have him for a month to see how they get along - that's pretty good. OF course, she knows that it will be hard for you to bring him back after a month! Hang in there; follow your heart and continue to make wise choices.

Had Foxxy been taken to a vet for a check up before this? Usually heart murmurs don't come on suddenly and can be found at a vet visit. I don't know your breeder but I would never adopt a puppy who had not been checked out from a vet first. Heart murmurs can be genetic and I would be concerned about adopting a littermate without a health check. I'm hoping this isn't the case with you and you find another puppy to make your home complete. Good luck Teresa | |
