As soon as you opened the door, she would come running out. My mom had to chase her for a whole block and thought she was never going to catch Lacey. I don't feel right about strangers holding my baby either. Scared they were going to take off with her. We never let anyone hold Lacey unless it was someone we trusted. Like a family member or close friend. | When I first got Wosie, I was reading this board to bits, and one of the things I picked up was making her sit and I go out the door first, then pausing, and then releasing her to come out with an "OK". She is so funny now because sometimes I will forget and just go out and then wonder where she is. She is sitting inside waiting for her command! This would prevent your baby from running out the door without you.
Villette, your note freaked me out. I was scared for YOU, dear, even though you seem to have had the situation under control. There are just so many whakos out there...Would you consider calling the police anyhow to let them know the situation occured? Registering the complaint now may make any future problems (with OTHER people's pups, not YOURS) easier for the cops to deal with. |
