A man tried to take my baby today.
 

Yes, a man tried to steal her today. I never let the girls go outside without me. I have a huge fenced back yard, but somehow Tori can get out. Well, we were outside and Tori was playing by the gate and Lexi was running like crazy. I turned back towards Tori and she had gotten out so I ran around front and there was a young guy (about 25 maybe) reaching down and picked her up. I yelled "hey that's my dog" and he turned and looked at me and said what makes you think it's yours? (his voice was very mean) I said well maybe because I have her papers, shot record and, vet photo. I was walking toward him and he laughed and acted like he was going to put her in his jacket and I screamed you are not taking my dog without getting your a$$ kicked by a woman and I charged that B@$tard. He hurried and sat her down and started laughing I'm not going to take your F'ing dog B$3ch. I picked Tori up and put her inside and went back out and he was way down the street. I was so mad but once she was inside and he was gone I started crying so hard. I was scared to death , but there was no way he was walking off with my baby.

A minute later and she may have been gone. :( :cry:

OMG! That is too scary!

wow---that is my nightmare come true! I am going to have a hard time sleeping tonite. Good work coming to the rescue.

What a jerk. I would have kicked his a$$ just for good measure!

wow that was scary :( i would have done the same thing. i will never let anybody take my baby :mad: the nerve of some people they just dont know how much we love our babys :) thank god tori is save and sound. :)

GET IT GET IT!!! I'm so proud of you for yelling at that guy like that ready to go balls to the walls!!! That was that mother instinct kicking in there. That is very scary, but thankfully you were right there. That is one of my worst fears. Way to go!

I'm so sorry! I can't imagine the scare you went through. That is like taking your own child. :eek:
I have mine all microchipped now. My vet said it is a great idea. I bet you find the hole and get it fixed tomorrow. And watch out - that guy may be back. I don't want to scare you any more than you are, but just be prepared.

I would have been so mad and scared. I would have cried too. Then I would have gotten even more mad and wanted to go kick his a$$. Thank goodness you all were ok.

OMG the nerve of that guy. You are lucky you were out there or she would be gone. I really worry about that happening to my Jewels because she is small and can get out by going under our front gate also.

OH MY DEAR LORD! You poor thing! I can't believe that SOB had the nerve to try and take your baby! I am just shaking with anger right now! :mad: How could someone be like that!? It's a good thing you're such a great mommy and knew when your baby was missing or your baby girl probably would have been gone forever!

I WOULD HAVE GONE TOTALLY PSYCHO ON THAT GUY AND FORCED HIM TO BITE THE CURB!?!@!?@!#!$!% :angry:

OMG, I can't believe that. Too scary and to think that he actually asked you what made you think it was your dog. I would have said well it is my yard. I'm so glad that everyone is OK.

I would have ran after him and beat his tail.

Lexi is micro chipped and Tori will be when she gets spayed. As for the guy coming back. I have thought of that too. The girls are not allowed out without me and they aren't allowed out til we find where she is getting out. If he comes back he better be prepared for me.

I was so ready to fight with him, don't get me wrong I was scared to death. I'm only 5.3 and 113lbs, but I was ready to kick scratch bite and hurt ANY part of his body that would make him drop.

How scary! I am amazed at how many people ask me if they can hold Cali when I have her out. I usually say sorry she's too skittish. If you see that guy again call the police they can keep an eye out. You hear about people stealing these little dogs for bait in dog fighting.

If you ever get stuck in this situation again (God I pray you NEVER have to go through it again) one hit/punch to the throat and a kick/knee to the groin will do it everytime! Both EXTREMELY volnerable! :D I love my Womens Self Defense class! lol Maybe you should leave a BIG shovel leaning against your fence or something! :p Just in case!

I was always scared somebody was going to take Lacey too. I worried about it all the time. And it is something I still worry about when I get my new baby. When they are puppies they take off so fast. We almost lost Lacey a couple of times. Because we will be leaving to go somewhere and she was right by your heel wanting to go too. As soon as you opened the door, she would come running out. My mom had to chase her for a whole block and thought she was never going to catch Lacey. I don't feel right about strangers holding my baby either. Scared they were going to take off with her. We never let anyone hold Lacey unless it was someone we trusted. Like a family member or close friend.

oh my god! how scary, i cant believe that a$$h*le!! some people have a lot of nerve!! thank goodness she's okay and safe at home now :) and good for you for being a kick a$$ mommy!!!

Oh, Tricia, I'm just now reading this! Bless your heart. You really need a bunch of hugs now. I'm so glad he just sat her down, too, instead of throwing her. I could just picture all of this playing out as I was reading your message. I'm so sorry you had to go through that. It's just awful. :(

I would of been very scared too. Do be carefull he may come back now and try and take her. Some people are like that.

oh my gosh, you poor girl! the nerve of some people and the language they use. i'm so glad you got her in time.

I have to admit, I used some pretty foul language too, but I was mad and trying to sound tough.

if this is not any one from your neighborhood i would write down a description of him and pass it around the neighborhood to be on the look out for him again. and also allert the police. he should not be getting away with this kind of behavior. today a dog tomorrow a person. go get him! this is really scary indeed.

That is terrible! Try not to dwell on it and remember that you were there when she needed you most. I know how scary it is to lose your baby (pup).

A few weeks ago we had ordered pizza and when I went to open the door to pay the pizza man I noticed something was different...I wasnt trying to keep the dog from running outside to greet the pizza man. Then I started to frantically check the house calling Bailey's name but he was no where to be found. Then me and my husband started walking outside around the block calling out for Bailey but nothing. I was about to go door-to-door to find him (we have a small subdivision) while my husband went in the car to search the surrounding neighborhoods. All I kept thinking in my head was that- he just got back from the groomers and someone took him b/c he looks so cute. Then as I was going to get in my car I go to open the door and up popped Baily inside the car.

I couldnt believe it! I think he was in there for a while b/c my kids were in the garage earler in the day to get something out of the car and didnt see Baily climb in and he probably shut the door unaware Bailey was still in there(my son is 6yrs old). Needless to say it was a very scary 30min...I though he was gone. And Baily is so quiet sometimes b/c he just goes off to hide and sleep..so we didn't even notice he was missing! I felt so BAD!
