I SWEAR - if yorkies weren't selling for so many thousands of dollars like they are lately.... this may not have happened - it shows what this new 'Small Dog Craze' is doing to people  you KNOW that JERK just saw Dollar Signs in Tori - How VERY VERY LUCKY you were !!! I'm so glad you saved her - this could have been a HUGE heartbreak for you and your little girl - BIG HUGS to you and Tori and thanks for sharing this - it may save another yorkie |
I always hear about this kind of stuff and I am always afraid it is going to happen to me. Now I know for sure that I need to be very careful. |
I know your scare, ive had a similar experience with one of my previous yorkies (RIP) a LONG time ago, she also found her way out and someone picked her up, and claimed her, my husband and i were devistated... he searched for her till 11pm that night, fortunaly and bless this person, gave him a tip to where she might be because she saw those people take her in the car with them, he found out where they lived and spoke to them, they denied everything so he gave them a fair warning, the next morning at 5am we heard a pathetic little cry at our front door (thought i was dreaming) then i listened closely and heard it again, my husband jumped out the bed to open the door... there she was, soon as we turned on the lights, we heard a car pull out our driveway, all 3 of us sat there crying and hugging each other, sad part is, she was traumatized for the rest of her life, as soon as we opened the door for visitors, she used to run to our bedroom to hide! This whole experience is still very clear in my mind and its something i will NEVER forget, i think thats probably why im over protective of my 2 girls now, im always "alert" when walking anywhere with them! Im SO glad you caught what was happening in time, you did good by acting so strong and showing him that he doesnt scare you, though i know how scared you must have been, you gave him a piece of your mind  WELL DONE  Thank you for sharing your story, this might save a lot of heartbreak and warn people to stay alert at all times :) |
OMG that is just horrible. That has "almost" happened to us twice when we lived on base in KS. Thank gosh my husband was a few ft from Skittles every time or else who knows what would have happened. I am so glad nothing happened to your precious Tori. |
puppy Wow, I'm glad everything turned out to be okay. I would have pretended to call my husband, even if he wasn't home. Just call a man's name. Something like that almost happened to my pug when he was 4 months old. My husband was outside washing the car and Bailey walking around out front of the house (he is a pug so he never runs off, just likes to stay close.) Well a car stopped in the middle of the road and they let 2 girls out who tried to call Bailey toward the car. I guess none of them saw John behind the car, who saw the girls get out. He walked up to them and they said, "Is this your dog?" I wonder what would have happened if John didn't hear them stop. They might have scooped him into the car and took off. I try to be optimistic and hope that they were just wanting to help the dog or might have thought he was lost. I'm hoing that someone would not let their kids out to grab a puppy with a color on it out of someone's front yard. |
My wife had Heidi in a store one time when she was young and a lady came up to her and said , do you want me to hold your dog while you look around, she thought for a second the lady was trying to be nice, but then had a little touch of mothers intuition and thought what if this person has alterier motives. She politely declined the ladies offer. You just never know who could be lurking out there do you. S/W |
It's a crying shame that you didn't have a stun gun to shoot his family jewels..... an insect like that should NOT be allowed to reproduce. I hope that you and Tori have recovered from your ordeal. Sending Yorkie hugs to you both. |
OMG thats horrible! So glad you were able to stop it from happening. I think I would still have kicked his ass!!!! What a horrible man  |
You are all so wonderful, I feel so much better today. My husband was so mad when he got home, all day today he has drove around looking for him. I really was glad he didn't find him though, I don't want him to do anything stupid and end up in trouble. |
Oh my gosh Tricia, what a horrible scare you had. Im so glad that you and Tori are fine. I hope this guy nevers shows up again. Just be careful. |
I'm glad your husband is so protective of you. I'll be he would whoop his a** if he saw him. Sometimes I wish these dogs weren't so friendly towards strangers. Glad you're feeling better. I am always nervous about Brandy because she can get out of the gate so easily and it would only take a second and they're gone. |
