THEY RAN AWAY!!!!! More venting!

I'm sorry.. But I HAVE to vent..

I am so #$^*%&#@#*%*$@&$*&@ mad! Four of our five dogs took off today and it took my mom and I an hour to find them! I let them go outside for a potty break and walked back inside and exactly 3 minutes later went back out to check on them.. And they were gone! We live far far from the road which is why we let the dogs just walk around the yard as they please.. Well NEVER again! I searched the roads, woods, my neighbors woods, the fields, the barn all the while screaming my lungs out praying they would just come popping into view.. Didn't happen. So I called my mom and told her they were missing so she rushed home. I was the only one at home and I needed help. Walking was too slow so I took my horse Rosie out and we went EVERYWHERE! I am completely frozen and sore from head to toe and I think I have some gray hair now! My mom called and said that she found Clovis down at my uncles house, so I took off in that direction full gallop (let me explain.. first comes my house, then my uncles, then my other uncles, then my grandmas.. 4 ducks in a row ) Right as I came around a bend in the field I saw a little black blurr tear around the corner and ta da there's Harley and Zeus! I hopped off, grabbed Harley, got back on, called Zeus to follow, called my mom, gave them to her and went on looking for TA. I rode on down to my grandmas house and by the road there were two men working on the power lines so I asked if they had seen anything and he said he had chased four dogs off of the road about 15 min ago! OMG! This road is soooo busy! 55 mph.. steady traffic.. OH MY GOSH!!! These guys totally saved our babies lives! He pointed in the direction they chased them and I went on looking. 10 min later I get a call from my mom saying that my aunt had just picked TA up and brought her home! A *sigh* of relief for sure.. My mom is so livid.. She put Harley and Zeus in their crates without petting or talking to them, locked TA in my sisters room and locked Clovis in her room.. I've never seen her so angry. Then she called my dad and let him have it! We have all been begging and bugging my dad for YEARS to put up a fence around the yard and maybe NOW he'll do it!!!

Bet you were scared to death and probably have your first gray hairs, too! You know that you are very lucky, don't you? I mean, that things turned out as they did. Coyotes hanging out in the tree rows and I just am so thankful you found them all. The fear is enough to kill ya!

I know! I just kept praying and praying that I would find them.. (then I was praying for patience when I DID find them! ) It is sooo amazing that we found all of them! Those workers really did save their lives! I would have hated myself for the rest of my life if any of them were hurt or didn't come home..

oh my i could imagine the feeling you and mom were going through. thank god its over and they are all ok...
