It happens. Especially to us that have floppy eared off standard cutie patootie babies. I got that just this past weekend at PetSmart. The worker actually tried to explain that yorkies are suppose to be silver

I think that guy needs to pick up a yorkie book they sell in the store and become informed before passing judgement on my baby. I so regretted not giving him my smart a** answer. "Oh, but he isn't a yorkie. He's a pitbull terrier mix puppy.

Can't wait for him to grow!!!"

What a precious little YORKIE. You can't listen to people. Dudley comes from champion blood lines and his ears stand up only when he sleeps. lol!!!! I had just got out of the hospital and didn't feel like messing with up so we didn't tape his ears. He is still a sweetie to me, just like your little Lucy. Kayla, when she was born, I think she came out with her ears standing up. They are still sweet yorkies no matter what.

I think Lucy is a little darling! I love the floppy ears, she really is so cute. Being on YT I have definitely realized no two yorkies look the same, doesn't mean they're not yorkies. I think your groomer needs to open her eyes.

Well, I say find a different groomer because Lucy looks like a full yorkie with one cute persuasive face!!

Well, I think she's all Yorkie, and very cute! You could have her tested... they sell a kit at Petsmart for about $60.00. Then you would have proof.

Yes she is a yorkie!!! I have a girl with ears that do not stand up as well, does not make her any less yorkie. Your groomer does not know her breeds

Just like mine I have floppy ears too. And she is to big also. We have yorkies just not a "good breed yorkie" But unless you are going to breed, it matters not.

She looks like a Yorkie to me, too, and a groomer should NOT be saying such things to any dog owner! Groomers are groomers, not breed experts, and you can't tell by looking. Yorkies come in all shapes and sizes and they're still Yorkies. I love my groomer and she's terrific, but I wouldn't pay much attention to her telling me exactly what breed any dog is or is not. That takes a different kind of expert and DNA tests! Her opinion isn't worth any more than mine.

I wouldn't trust my baby to a BLIND groomer if I were you. She is definitely a yorkie.
