| I read the comments on facebook...how does a yorkie "fall out" of the window? Does she mean jump? Anyway, I agree dogs should be restrained and I am unfortunately guilty of not keeping Teddy restrained. I sit in the passenger seat while Teddy snoozes on my lap...but I don't let him go anywhere near the window...Either way thank you I will buy a car seat for him just in case...I've been a very bad yorkie mom

| How scary! I always secure mine and now my car insurance company (Progressive) includes pet insurance that will help pay if one of my babies is injured in an accident.

| I need to place my dear Yorkie Hi everyone, I have a beloved Yorkie that's been a part of our family since she was born. We can no longer keep her in the house that we are in, but I want to be very sure she goes to a good and lasting home! She is a little hyper and loves, dearly loves to give kisses to one that she has learned to trust. She needs someone that will have time for her, and not gone to work most of the time. She does best in a controlled environment. Can anyone tell me where to go? |

| Update....the lady that wrecked her car that I started this thread about came in where I work yesterday. She asked me if I had seen on FB what happened and told me about her dog dying and about the person doing CPR on him and reviving him. I told her she was very lucky and asked what happened. She told me her yorkie likes to ride with its head out the window and he jumped out and she wrecked trying to catch him. I told her she may not be so lucky the next time and to please get him a carseat or at least keep him restrained when riding in the car. I cannot imagine me letting my babies ride with their heads hanging out the window!!!

| Remy likes to sit on my shoulders if I let her.. If I have all three in the car all three would be on top of me and I can drive. I read a while back about a furbaby being killed in an accident that would most likely made it if the pup had been in a car seat. That did it for me.....

| Goodness, very scary! I have two Lookout car seats in the back seat of my car and my dogs are always put in them and properly restrained. Some years ago, a relative was traveling with their little toy poodle loose in the car and it got down where the brake was and caused a fatal accident. Mother and son were killed and the little dog had to be PTS. Very sad. My furkids love the Lookout car seats. They are comfortable and they can see out the windows. Jeanette |
