| carrier I have a little guy who is 10 years old and weighs about 11 pounds. I would like to get one of those "pouches" that you put around your neck/shoulder and use as a way to carry your pup. It is kind of like an infant carrier. Has anyone had any experience with these? Any comments about them? I read the story about the little guy that got seperated from family in ALA during the tornado. I live in Fl and if we should get into a bad situation I think it would be nice to be able to carry him in one of these and keep my hands free. Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

| I have more of a front facing backpack model, I need more even weight distribution on my shoulders. It does make carrying him alot easier. I also think he's more comfortable in it than being carried.

| I have four of them. Different weight fabrics for the seasons here in Pa. I love them ! You can purchase one made for babies at 11 pounds it should work fine. I would add a tether strap to hook his harness to though. If you sew or know someone who does these are very easy to make. If you google "how to make a baby sling " you will get many different patterns. I scale mine down a little bit as Pistol weights five pounds and kinda gets lost in the larger size. |
