| Could he be a Blue Born Yorkie?? I'm new here.. and need some expert advice! I got my puppy Dolce when he was 9 weeks. I thought his hair looked a little short but she assured me he was a full Yorkie. I have the papers saying he is also. Now it's grown in some places but not in others.. Ive tried looking at Yorkie/Min pin mixes, Yorkie/Chi mixes but they don't really look like him. Recently, I heard about blue born yorkies, do you think he could be one? It doesn't matter to me all that much, I love him to pieces no matter what. Thanks! http://i55.tinypic.com/2mxodmu.jpg |

| Yep, definitely not a blue born! He could be a red-legged yorkie, tho, although, I'm pretty sure he'd have to be a little older to be sure. A red-legged is a particular coat type that tends to have a wirery feel and bright, reddish-gold coloring. It never attains any great length. Chances are, though, that he is just young and his coat WILL grow! Either way, he is an absolute cutie-pie! Best of luck with him! |

| Aww, he is adorable!! He doesn't look like a blue born but he does look like a red legged yorkie. Their hair doesn't usually get very long and is wirey feeling. How old is he now? I've had pups that had real straggly thin hair as pups but then as adults they have wonderful silky coats.

| He is 5 months now. Wow, looking at other red legs he does look alot like one. And that would make perfect sense because he is growing hair, slowly but surely. Do any of you have any more information on Red legged Yorkies? |
