| ![]() 148 dogs rescued from Bastrop County home | kvue.com Austin This breaks my heart. I have a crate and food and blankets to give but I think I want to foster. I never have before but I know if I go to drop the stuff that I might be coming home with a new little one. These babies had someone watching over them cause despite their living conditions it has been reported that all of them are doing well. I'm sure my heart and head will make the right decision. If you have fostered and want to share your experiences please do I'm eager to find out more about it. To anyone near by please donate what you can. ![]()

| ![]() I'm going to send some money, and put this on my FB page too cause I have a lot of animal lovin' friends and some are in Austin. What a shame, these poor babies...it's time for police to crack down on this for the crime it is. ![]()

| ![]() Oh those poor babies!!! I foster and I love it. I had a big void left when my little man died in January and fostering has helped fill that void. It is however very hard to let them go sometimes. My first foster when she left i cried for hours, bawled like a baby. But in the end I know these babies need help and if the ones I have do not move on then I have no room to help others find their forever homes. this quote says it all I am an Animal Rescuer: My work is never done: My home is never quiet: My wallet is always empty: But my heart is always full: In the game of life, I have already won! ~ Annette King Tucker

| ![]() Awww, they all look so sweet. I've never fostered before so I don't have any advise for you other than if you feel like it's something you can do and you're current pet(s) will be ok with it, then go for it. ![]() I've seen that show "animal horders" on Animal Planet (I think) and the people truely do love the pets even though they aren't in good living conditions. The owners freak out when the pets get taken away and need cousling and everything. The one lady had severe respiratory problems from having too many birds and didn't even care about her own health, all she cared about where her birds. Even though I agree it's really bad and obviously not good for the pets, I think a majority of the time the people think they're doing something good. Like these people - they moved into a shed and let the pets have their house! Obviously that's super crazy, but it's not malicious intent either. Hopefully they all get homes ![]() If you decide to do the fostering, all the best of luck to you, it's a wonderful thing to do if you can ![]()

Donating YT 30K Club Member | ![]() That is so sad. I fostered a pom from a puppy mill auction (it was closing) that the shelter I volunteer at rescued. It was a vert rewarding experience and I was able to find her a great home. It was very hard emotionally on me. I think it is wonderful if you can foster.

| ![]() Thanks for the wonderful replies. @Foster Mom that is such a beautiful quote. @AlicetheYorkie I feel what you feel when I see that show, for me it's easy to feel bad for those types of people because they are ill but then I see the animals and the conditions they are left in and the scars they are left with and my empathy soon turns into malice. I just sent all the stuff with a friend this morning, I plan to visit this afternoon after work. ![]() ![]() https://community.austinhumanesociet...d=454&frcrld=1
