| Any of you have spouse who doesn't share your love for animals? Hi! I was wondering if there were any of you who has a spouse who just doesn't share your love for animals? And can't seem to understand your love (craziness, as it has been referred to) for the 4-legged creatures. Now, I usually don't draw the line at just the cat and dog. I have a rabbit, a goat, a cat, and now 2 dogs. I would have an entire household full if given half the chance. I do get a little tired of all the "stray" hair running loose in the house but as I have told him time and again.......it's a small sacrifice for the unbounding love they have to offer. My first husband either didn't mind or just didn't say anything because I was constantly bringing home something and never asked ahead of time. My second husband is not as passive so I feel like a child asking for a toy at Wal-Mart anytime I want an animal. He always protests and usually ends up loving (or at the least...tolerating) of every animal I bring home. My children are just as a fanatic as I am. His two children don't prefer animals either. I tell him the craziest thing will be that they will probably end up marrying a animal loving freak also, just as he did. Just wondering if any of you have had to deal with the same thing and if I just need to buckle down for the long haul or what. Thanks for all the wonderful things I have gained from this forum. |

| My boyfriend loves Bailey as much as I and claims to be HIS DAD,,and he also loves my cat,,, I dont know if I could deal with a partner if they weren't animal lovers. I had an ex,, and he came to my house not too long ago to repair something, and he didnt hardly acknowledge Bailey and wouldn't play with him and yelled when he got up on the couch on his coat,, SO, needless to say,, I was instantly short with him,,and when he left,,, I thought " I knew I dumped his ass for some reason!"

| Ya know at first my husband was reluctant, he LOVES cats, and I am allergic! I had always had lots of animals growing up including horses. He only had cats. But when we got Obie, he fell instantly in love. He's a proud Yorkie dad. |

| My husband loves Kiki as much as I do. When we first got married I was not an animal person. My father loved animals, but my mother just would not allow them in the house. During the first year we were married, my husband brought home a kitten and I fell in love with him. My husband has always had dogs and cats growing up. After marriage I found out what I had missed growing up. I am so animal crazy now and I love Kiki. Ladyt & Kiki |

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | She brings the animals home, and I fall in love with them. Every time. Then we compete for their affection.

| Competing for affection is the RULE around here. Mommy gets so jealous when she get home from school, and daddy has little Obie all curled up in his lap. It doesn't last very long, all I have to do is say-come here boy, and he is done with dad! But then again, it's great to have so much love to go around!! So maybe I will keep my jealousy in check! |

| The first thing out of my husbands mouth when he walks in the door is "Teddy Daddy is Home" It was his idea to get Teddy and he actually picked him out so he adores the little guy. He is not however quite as accepting of most of the other animals. Mainly because the majority are drop offs or were left behind by our older kids. He's nice to them but he isn't anywhere as loving with them as he is with Teddy.
