Is your grandma not able to let him out or is she choosing not to or forgetting? I would make the rules clear with her, if. she wants to let him out of his room where he was trained, then she needs to let him out consistently. You could even set a timer to remind her, or hire a dogwalker. Since the pee boxes are working, having them in more visible areas could help, and confining him to one or two rooms would also be beneficial.

just had another long talk with her about him needing to go out every hour sometimes more. What he acts like when he needs to go. I have never liked the idea of having a potty pan in a visible area ,but looks like it is my only option right now. My grandmother tries very hard but she just thinks hes like a human and can go hours on end like herself. She loves him to death and dont want to hurt him. Maybe we can get back on track. Thanks so much everyone for your advise.

I have pee pads in the bathroom. Buster will use them when he is in the house and he also goes outside. Just make sure when you are at home and Dusty needs to go take him to his box inside the house and when he goes reward and praise him. Continually reinforce the area you want him to go in inside the house when you are around so he associates good things with going there. Good luck.
