ADMIN, MODS...

Is there any possible way to contact this member: sheryl irvin? I am very worried that she and her household may be in danger of carbon monoxide poisoning. I've sent a few PM's. Is her email 'ON'? Is her user name her real name? PM me I will try to find her or if anyone knows her or has her info please contact her immediately!

When I was a teenager , we actually had this probelm, and your right there are teeny tiny little black particles that are everywhere, you really dont notice them until someone points them out. 40 years ago we were not aware of the poisoning. However those little black balls do have like a oil in them and can kill you. I Hope that is not her problem or if it is she finds this and calls a repair man and opens up her windows asap! Im not sure that she would be itchy tho!

Kathy - I've just now sent her an email to the address she signed up with. Also, she does have PM notifications to "ON" - so she'll receive email notifications if a PM is sent.

I will PM you about your question regarding her name. I hope she is okay.

I'm calling vets in her area trying to find Dr Swanson named in her thread... no luck so far....

Last week was kind of warm in the north east. The warmest so far. So I would guess that where she is the furnace would have been off most of the time. I hope she is just out doing things and not really ill.

Happened to us a few years back... but I was not aware of the CO2 poisoning till I saw this on the news this AM:

Just called a fire dept in that zipcode... densely populated area... they need more info... still searching....

You need the police and they need an IP address and the time. They can do it if they choose to but the fire department can't (usually).

Okay! Called Dr Swanson... he did treat the dog... he has her sister's info and will call her and inform her of the possible danger....

Thanks for the PM Bradjo: I didn't think to look in VA... even though she worked there for years... Duh!

This place saw her 2 years ago but had no info???

This happened about 3-4 weeks ago, and her heat may have malfunctioned before then... as her pup is/was so sick... I believe CO2 settles lower so the dog would be more affected than people who breathe air higher up in a room...

It happened about the same time to us a few years back. I found black dots in a kleenex after blowing my nose but I assumed it was in the air. None of my pets (including birds) got sick as I removed everyone from the house then called the FD. The weather was warming up so we didn't notice that the furnace was or wasn't coming on at any given time.

Poor things. They sound really at wits end and desperate. I hope they are okay and nothing really bad has happened. Maybe they have been getting other opinions and she just hasn't had a chance to get back onine. Will be checking for updates.
