I would have more reservation paying with a credit card for a puppy purchase. To me it would seem like a "business" for an individual to accept a credit card. Same with Paypal, this is the way that I pay for transactions of with YT vendors when I order treats or doggy outfits not a puppy. Why would you need to accept Visa if you are selling a few puppies a year.

Thank you. This helps. She only has one breeding dam and sire at home. So, I do know she is not a big business. She does only accept cash but was willing to work with me to accept Google checkout for an extra fee. But, I think I will go for the cash since I will save $200.00. The asking price was $1400 but I asked her if she would take $1200 and she accepted. Does this seem like a good price?

He's lovely! The breeder should supply a health report, contract and you can ask for a DNA result, then take him to your vet within 24 hours.

He is silver and gold, but he is really blonde and blue/silver if that makes sense. Pnut has the silky coat. I don't know, I didn't really care or care to ask questions when I got him, all I wanted to know is that he is healthy!!

I also wanted a girl, but feel in love with him! That's how you know!!

Yep I'm in Riverside, right by Norco. I take Pnut to get groomed in Norco!!

It's not the price you pay it's the health of the parents and puppy that matters. A few hundred extra now will be a drop in the bucket if you have a lifetime of medical issues. Make sure you visit and ask for gurantees etc. Take a look at the links in AMDs post and go over it to make sure you are asking the proper questions. The puppies are adorable!

The pups are adorable!! I think 1200 to 1400 is a very good price range. As someone else posted, get them vet checked ASAP after you get them home. I've only ever paid cash for pups that I have bought. I hope everything goes well for you. If you end up getting a pup, please post the pics.

yes, for someone on the ytca list, that is a decent price, and I think you said this breeder was on it correct? For someone not on the list, that's way too expensive. Don't forget to ask about health guarantee and registration. Most likely it will be limited registration (no breeding rights) if a breeder doesn't stress on this, you may want to look elsewhere.

I am way late to this thread & only read through the first page of responses....but wanted to add that as cute as this puppy is, it is the BREEDER first, then the puppy, that you should select. Finding the right breeder is the most difficult and most important part of the deal. Once you find the right breeder, picking the puppy will be the easy part -- or maybe not as you will want them all as I did!

This breeder seems to have treated you very rudely right off the bat! Any breeder slow to answer questions or that avoids answering questions gets crossed off my list when looking. I want a breeder that is so proud of her puppies and breeding program that she tells me everything I want to know before I even have a chance to ask. I want a breeder that wants to make me feel confident in my decision, and wants to make sure I know enough to properly care for the puppy. My breeder spent a LOT of time with me over the course of several weeks before I got to bring a puppy home. There was no doubt she was concerned for her puppy first and the $$$ last. Keep shopping!
