| He is really cute, make sure this is an actual picture of the dog you are falling in love with. We have some scams in Georgia where people post a picture of another dog and not the one you think you are buying. Make sure you see the puppy and the parents. Get a health guarantee also.

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | That's what I thought, too. How old is he? BTW- absolutely nothing wrong with having a bigger baby. I love my teapots!

| He is absolutely adorable. Just a note that his ears are not up and at 11 weeks I would think they would at least be partway up by now if they are going to come up. If that's not important to you then that's all that matters. Personally, I think he's adorable but agree with the others who have said do your research and make sure you visit the breeders home so you have more of an idea of how he has been raised. |

| It depends on what you are hoping to find in a Yorkie. He won't be small and that is just fine if you are not looking for a smaller one. Also, the is a good chance his ears will stay down..be sure the breeder shows you how to tape them up...are his parents ears up..that improves his chances...ear leather look a bit heavy in the pic...is he outgoing or timid? Otherwise he looks like a nice pet. |

| I got Uni at 12 wks and her ears were still down. I didn't know anything about taping, but her ears went up, and I think we all know how big her ears are.

| So, I've been speaking with that breeder for a week or two. But, I have been having a lot of trouble communicating with him. He takes a long time to respond to emails and when I call I've gotten the voice mail 2 of 3 times. He apparently works a lot and was supposed to be dropping off the dog this Sunday. But, just texted that he has to work this Sunday. So, I responded back saying, when can you come? Could you come on Saturday instead? No response. Then I said, can you please answer the email that I sent you yesterday with my questions or please call me back. No answer. So, I am getting the impression that he doesn't want to sell this dog. He is being really slow about responding, and when he does respond to my email questions they are really short and brief answers. So, I finally texted him and said, "I am getting the impression that you don't want to sell the dog..." Can you please be more responsive?" He responds back and says "That is very rude. Find another breeder. I am done with you." So, I called him and he didn't answer so I left a voicemail that said I am sorry, and that I didn't mean to offend him. But, that I expect a breeder to be available to answer my questions and I asked him to call me back so we could talk. And of course. No answer. He is the breeder at IQPets.com - International Quality Pets, Yorkie, Maltese Puppies!. He had some good reviews. So, I thought he would be reputable. I don't know what to make of all this. I am disappointed now that he doesn't want to work with me. Was I too abrupt? Last edited by anastacea; 05-13-2011 at 06:38 PM. |

| I say good he is not selling to you. If he's gonna treat you like this BEFORE he gets your money imagine how he'll treat you AFTER he get its. I just peeked at his site. The FIRST page is "payment options" "purchasing is easy as 1, 2, 3". He breeds yorkies AND maltese. I would RUN. You had a hard time with buying your first yorkie, why would you put yourself through it again? Just bc they have a few good reviews does not make them reputable. Go through the ytca first, that is your first step in finding a good breeder. I'm going to go back to his site and see what other treasures I find.

| Look at this poor thing! "I'm a micro tiny teacup!" Sold for $3000 back in May of 2010. 2nd pic is one of their breeding females. Look at how tiny she is! I notice they list the weight of the sires but not the dams. Off to the maltese part of their site.

| It is kind of interesting both the yorkshire terrier and maltese puppies that they have available have the same birth date (2/20/11). How is that possible? |

| That poor little breeding bitch looks like she is just the size of a puppy! How is the name of all that is holy can you breed a little thing like that and risk her life so?

| There's this saying "In god we trust, all others pay cash." Or cash, charge, paypal, money order... payment is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

| That website alone makes me nervous. I think you got another lucky break here, and the reason he doesn't want to answer your questions or sell you a dog now is because he can't! His puppies are APR/AKC registered? That reeks of puppymill to me. If nothing else, ask if you can pick the puppy up from him. Even try to google earth his address and see if it looks like there are a bunch of kennels around the place. Please read all the information about finding a reputable breeder on this site and go to the YTCA website for a breeder referral. Don't be in a rush to find a puppy, you're going to have him or her for a long time so spend the time up front to find the right breeder. Good luck.
