| Daycare I own a condo and a 2.5 yr old Yorkie! No backyard - so he goes to daycare every day for excercise and socialization and also some free time outside without being on a leash. (He has been at the same daycare since he was .5 yrs old.) I love the place but I think he is learning bad habits there. Suddenly, he is a barker and a growler. Never had a child in daycare - I wonder if this is just a natural "acceptance" of being around dogs all day? Anyone have any input? |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | They do pick up on things that other dogs do. Tallulah has learned that the doorbell needs to be barked at as loudly as possible from the other "kids" at Yorkie Camp. She has also started copying everybody's method of being picked up... backing up toward my hands and then standing on her back legs when my hand touches her. On the plus side, all the dogs were housebroken when she arrived and I'm convinced it made her housebreaking easier. We're about 95% there. |

Senior Yorkie Talker | I'm in Jersey and dreading the idea of having to board my dogs when I go on vacation. I have a 1 year old yorkie and a 5 year old Shih Tzu. Hiring a person to babysit is super expensive. I don't know what to do. Any ideas? My yorkie is on 60% potty trained. Makes it harder to find anyone who would be willing to babysit. What do you do when you go on vacation? My whole family is coming with me. |
